The reason why I prefer “cant do everything, but will try” Superman over “can do everything/always finds a way” Superman is because the latter enforces the message that bad things happen because you didn’t “not want them enough”, which is awful imo

"To me, grounding [Superman] into our world rather than us going into his was the way I thought about it. It's not
just about the physical reality of what you're capable of but also about your spiritual place in the world and
how you fit into it" - Zack Snyder 👏🏻👏🏻

Grant Morrison said it best, Superman is a "working class superhero". While Batman is a fantasy of a billionare avenger in his castle, Superman is just a nice guy with a normal job who also happens to save people. Sure he can punch a planet, but he also just chills with his dog

“The best thing about Superman is how HUMAN he is.”

Zack Snyder’s Superman: *deals with human struggles such as isolation, uncertainty, depression, anger and powerlessness, yet never lets those get in the way of helping others around him no matter what*

“No, not like that.”
