@Steveontour2 Cheers Stephen! I'm now quite used to making Parker - this is number 23.
Parker is by far the most requested Supermarionation puppet replica that I make.
I made a Parker as a gift for Gerry Anderson in 2012. I was incredibly honoured when it was displayed at his funeral.
BOOTED...
But not yet suited.
This week I've crafted Parker's shoes from fine nappa leather, with waxed linen laces, and little cotton socks (bless 'em!).
Chauffeur Parker and his FAB 1 Driver's Seat commission.
WORK IN PROGRESS.
A DISCARDED PLASTIC BOTTLE...
Is the only thing that Colin prefers to a tennis ball. He found one today on Burry Port beach.
He tired himself out playing with it, stopping only to cool off in the shallows.
THAT'S MY BOY!
PEGGING THE FOKKER
Tricky blighters, wings. Believe it or not, there are three on a triplane, plus a mini wing on the undercarriage.
Holding ribs, spars, leading edges and trailing edges together while the glue dries is a challenge.
Clothes pegs help.
1/8 Fokker Dr1 W.I.P.
A little bit of prettiness for you today: I've cleaned-up this charming pre-WWI autochrome study of a wall-mounted display of dahlias, photographed in colour 113 years ago by the Belgian artist & photographer Alfonse van Besten. Autochromes are an early colour glass-plate process and this is not colourised.
@DailyPicTheme2 'The Windy Tree' - a landmark on a regular walkies route that I do with my dog, Colin.
I took this photo on 11th May.

ON A WING AND A SWEAR...
I've been working again on my 1/8 Fokker Dr1 Triplane kit.
Today's task was to glue the plywood components of the middle wing together.
Once again the 'Sweary Pegs' designed and made by my old pal Colin Farrant proved to be invaluable.
๐
I've started this Thunderbird 2 partworks knowing that I won't be able to source several major components.
However, I bought a couple of job lots of parts cheaply and I'll be able to make something out of it all.
It will keep me quiet and amused, so what's not to like?๐

THE TROUBLE WITH PARTWORKS MODEL-MAKING...
Is that if you're late to the party, and try to source all the components on the secondary market you can sometimes come a cropper and not be able to complete your model as some major pieces may no longer be obtainable.
