We work hard to make sure that volunteering with Support Through Court is enriching for all. Earlier this year, we asked our volunteers directly for their thoughts. 💙
If you've ever thought about volunteering, we'd love to hear from you.

Who are our volunteers?
In the last year, over 1,500 volunteers gave at least one shift and many have been with us for over five years. With eight university partnerships, we have volunteers from early career to retirement and they are at the heart of our work.
Thank you. 💙
📢UPCOMING EVENT: “Litigants in Person: Challenges, Support and the Court System”
📅 Tuesday, 2nd June 2026
⏰ 6:00pm - 7:00pm BST
📍 Zoom
Join us for an insightful event exploring the experiences and challenges faced by Litigants in Person within the civil justice system.
We are delighted to welcome Becky Newman from Support Through Court (@SupportTCourt), the award-winning charity that provides practical and emotional support to people navigating court proceedings without legal representation.
We will also hear from individuals currently navigating the court system as Litigants in Person - or who have previously done so - who will share their personal experiences, insights, and practical knowledge of representing themselves through legal proceedings.
This event will offer valuable insight into access to justice, the realities faced by self-represented litigants, and the vital role of support services within the legal system.

For 25 years, we have helped those facing court alone. One of volunteers, Charles has remembered us in his Will: "I've seen the difference this work makes."
Write your Will for free with FreeWills and consider leaving a gift to help others in the future.

In 2001, Support Through Court began with a simple but powerful question: why is no one here to help people in the civil courts?
