It has come to our notice that Ph.D Scholars in the state who are registered for the MRIP Scholarships 2025, haven't received any Scholarship money till now. Eventhough all the important steps like candidates' physical verification, Registration and final list of selected candidates being available on SAMS portal have been over since last year, the scholars are yet to receive the scholarship!
Quality Research needs funding. If the govt is making provision to help Researchers to do quality Research, then why keep them hanging like this? How can we expect good innovation to come out of Ph.D Research if there's no support by the govt?
It's really shameful how highly qualified deserving Research Scholars of state Universities are being treated after promising them Scholarships which will help them in their Research.
This needs urgent intervention by the government for the future of Research development and innovation in State Universities. We urge the authorities to act swiftly in this regard.

PhD Scholars are demoralised due to delayed MRIP Fellowship disbursement. As per norms, funds should be released by the 15th, but it’s still pending for the 2025 batch. Kindly ensure timely and regular payments to support research.

Phd Scholars registered under MRIP scholarships 2025 aren't receiving the scholarships properly. Despite finishing the complete registration process and physical verification of documents in the year 2025 itself, only some have received Feb 2026 scholarship money and after the Feb scholarship amount, no scholarship has been credited to their account since.
Many have not even received the Feb 2026 scholarship amount!
It's important to note that scholarships are extremely important for doctoral research and innovation and many scholars have had to leave their jobs to avail the scholarships. Not disbursing them timely is leading to a lot of mental and financial stress to the researchers.
Requesting the govt to Kindly intervene in this matter urgently and solve the predicament of the Ph.D scholars in the state.
