What’s the right level of financial transparency for a company?

We publish the full P&L in real time and everyone in the company has access.

But my experience is people don’t really care.

Most people are much more concerned about their individual financial statement.

And this is coming from a company where every employee is a shareholder!

I think the most powerful thing you can do is to have managers create clear understanding about how people can make more money for themselves by making more money for the company.

Transparency into THAT is more important than the P&L.
