સુરત મહાનગરપાલિકા દ્વારા તા.19.02.2019 ના રોજ ચંદ્ર પૃથ્વીની વધુ નજીક આવવાને કારણે વધુ મોટો અને તેજસ્વી દેખાયો હોવાથી શહેરીજનો માટે સાયન્સ સેન્ટર ખાતે ચંદ્ર દર્શનનું આયોજન કરેલ હતું. જેમાં 387 જેટલા શહેરીજનોએ રિફ્લેક્ટર ટેલિસ્કોપ દ્વારા ચંદ્ર દર્શન નિહાળ્યું હતું.
