Thats always very noticeable so please point taht out with screenshots?
There's a difference between people praising the same things and working from a drafted copy, which happens in other circles.
But i really dont think thats the case here? I have seen the film, its easily an 8 or 9 out of 10, its one of LISA'S best.
There doesn't have to be something big conspriacy. Surely the negative reviews are indication that it doesn't work for some, but theyre a minority?
Okay, I'm gonna remove any snark and reply to you in the interest of calm discussion:
You're coming at this advert with a lot of your own experiences. Your view of it potentially being harmful in terms of POC people interacting with white relatives is absolutely a valid point. I think that was clumsy on their part.
My argument was against Grahams blatantly racist point asking how could white white grandparents POSSIBLY have grandkids of other races. As if adoption or mixed race families didn't exist.
@WellerVision@big_simp So, wait, good reviews of the film are apparently paid shills, but bad ones are honest?
Surely that just means both of you want the film to be bad instead of actually waiting to see it and forming your own opinions?
@bluefocus1974@prodbyqd@jk_rowling I've given you my reply to this question, you not agreeing & refusing to accept the evidence is not my problem. Bye bye!
Okay, lets engage with you:
If a male wants to breastfeed it would be due to them either
A) Being a trans man (assigned female at birth) who has given birth to said baby
Or
B) a trans woman (which you are transphobically referring to as a male) also wanting to help feed a baby as a parent
You seem to keeping referring to some sort of sinister component, which shows an issue/perversion with you and nobody else tbh
You dont go into any detail about WHY the story felt risk free or hollow, you just keep saying it was - how?
The scene with her soaring on the bird (and how it ends!), the backstory with her parents, her clashing with teh queen... like theres so much depth and so many great character moments.
Would love for you to elaborate why any of those or others felt "hollow" to you?
@frizdriedmelone@RubyBoblet@MaeveHalligan Women obviously were and by many regards still are?
As are queer people and trans people?
What answer were you expecting here?
You're entitled to not like the film, but your review reads very odd, as if you only hafl watched the film? You keep saying things like "oh they clearly only want you to see how pretty the puppets are" as if they have personally offended you? Very odd

A) Consider me educated
B) This actually supports the idea that involving trans parents is a good thing!
Trans men who have given birth can lactate, and apparently trans women (using the same process as adoptive or non gestational mothers) can too
Surely if you dismiss trans women from that you're dismissing adoptive/non-gestational too?
@bluefocus1974@prodbyqd@jk_rowling Why are your phrasing the idea of someone trying to genuinely breast feed their baby as that? By your logic all breastfeeding mothers "want a child to suck on their nipples" - are you psychotic?
