Seeing VP @lenirobredo carrying her bag reminds me of the times when my mother is still working as public school teacher in far-flung areas of our city.

VICE GANDA CALLS FOR BETTER HEALTHCARE RESOURCES AND FACILITIES
WATCH: Vice Ganda appeals to government officials to prioritize healthcare infrastructure and resources.
Hindi po sapat na binibigyan natin sila ng TUPAD at AKAP," Vice Ganda said during an episode of It's Showtime on Thursday, January 2, criticizing the inadequacy of cash assistance programs in addressing public health issues.
The comedian and host emphasized the urgent need for investment in hospital facilities and medical equipment, urging leaders to take concrete action to safeguard public health.

RISA SLAMS ZERO SUBSIDY FOR PHILHEALTH
Senate Deputy Minority Leader Risa Hontiveros has condemned the decision to deny PhilHealth subsidies for the premium contributions of vulnerable groups under the proposed 2025 national budget, describing it as "unfair, illegal, and potentially unconstitutional."
"Denying PhilHealth support to pay the premium contribution of the most vulnerable is to deny Filipinos our right to health," Hontiveros said on Thursday, December 12. She emphasized that the government is duty-bound to shoulder the premiums of indirect contributors, including the poor, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
Hontiveros warned that the move would place an undue financial burden on ordinary citizens who already pay monthly PhilHealth contributions, jeopardizing the nation’s universal healthcare goals.
"The PhilHealth charter, the Sin Tax Law and the UHC Act mandate that portions of certain taxes go to the state health insurer," she said, rejecting assertions that PhilHealth's reserve funds are sufficient to cover costs.
She further highlighted the irony of the decision being made on the eve of International Universal Health Coverage Day, noting that global standards make healthcare a government responsibility.
Hontiveros urged Filipinos to stand united in defending their right to accessible and quality healthcare.
