Not talking about Vedant or his family here, but imagine an average Modi supporter, a bhakt, who casually brands anyone questioning the government a “Pakistani agent.” What happens if, one day, something similar were to happen to their own child, and the same godi media ecosystem and fellow bhakts started calling that child a Pakistani agent too?

That’s the thing about normalising hatred. It never stays confined to the people you dislike. Sooner or later, it comes for everyone. What goes around comes around. We sow the seeds of hatred, and eventually we end up harvesting the same crop ourselves.
