👇🏻This arouse the issue of API security (which is vital for any platform who wants an aggregation of liquidity and assets). Anothe juicy target for hacker besides bridges...🧐#SurgeNetwork#liquidity#zksnarks#merge
1/ Since 1:20 am (GMT+8), our team has been working round the clock to minimize the impact and resume trading operations, following a hacking incident that involved unauthorized access to our API Keys.
Some trend insights:
1. assets merge on chain with one token being used in multiple projects
2. #Raas to generate more of #L2 or hopefully in the end, one universal #L2 solution for all #L1 chains

1/ Rollups are the most popular types of #Ethereum L2 scaling solutions. A number of major rollups have launched solutions that make it possible for developers to launch new rollups based on their tech. Examples include @arbitrum Orbit chains, @optimismFND OP Stack chains, etc.
LayerZero has been acting in bad faith, and it's time to address this.
In mid-Sept I critiqued LayerZero's decision to use Google's centralized oracle as their default, particularly since they continued to market their service as "decentralized".
Several high-quality podcasters reached out and asked if I'd go on a podcast with LZ founder @PrimordialAA to discuss. I obviously said yes. Bryan declined, saying he was on a "podcast blackout". 🤔
Yesterday LayerZero upset many members of the Lido community by deploying an unauthorized wstETH bridge using the same centralized Google oracle, but marketing it like it's an official (and decentralized) deployment. They did this before engaging in a dialogue with the Lido community around the risks of their OFT standard.
LayerZero seemingly has a history of marketing things without being willing to discuss the technical details and considerations behind them. This is bad for our industry and I'm tired of it.
As an industry we have two options: we can let everybody do whatever they want and hope that they make good choices. Or we can hold each other to the highest possible standards of decentralization, thoughtful debate, and community engagement. I choose the latter.
Bryan: let's get on a podcast and discuss some of LayerZero's recent decisions.
