- What features do you think Surge is lacking?
- Would delegating active/risk management make you use Surge?

We will be posting more on the next steps and plans for 2024 including ways on how you can take part in Surge's future.
Until then, you can RT this thread and hop in for the ride 🫡☄️!
Some obstacles, like:
😵Users need to actively manage their positions to avoid any capital losses.
😵 Missing frontend features.
😵 UX needs to be more intuitive.
😵 Lack of consistent contributions to the project.
So, what now?
With the status quo of lending, we still believe Surge can unlock lending opportunities that are not possible atm.
To solve these issues, we'll:
🎯 Launch Vurge (Surge Vaults).
🎯 UX iterations (+ potential Tel bots).
🎯 Framework for everyone contributions.
We also chose to launch on L2 to allow everyone to experiment with small amounts and frequent txs. We envisioned the market and community determining its future.
However, it became evident that certain gaps and obstacles can be hindering its takeoff.
We designed the protocol layer for maximum purity and decentralization, approaching it as a novel experiment.
We expected Surge to take its time to find PMF (if at all) through users' interactions and scrutiny due to unforeseen risks given that it's a new model for DeFi lending.
In 2023, we:
- Deployed Surge on testnet with a minimal UI.
- Gathered feedback, bugs and ideas from our testers community.
- Conducted a @sherlockdefi contract contest.
- Fixed bugs in contracts and improved the UI.
- Deployed on @arbitrum L2.

The pools list also displays the USD value of each pool’s liquidity.
We’ll add more USD values and token prices across the UI to make it easier for lenders and borrowers to better understand each pool
Can’t find which pools everyone else is using? We can help.
The Surge pools list is now sorted by liquidity.
This also applies to search. If you type the ticker or address of a token, pools with the most liquidity will show up first.

Next up, we’re working on making the pools list navigation more intuitive by introducing sorting options such as sorting by the amount of available liquidity, outstanding loans and other options.
Dev update
We continue to engage with users, collect feedback and ship features and bug fixes

Two major narratives in DeFi, liquid staking tokens (LSTs) and oracleless protocols, gained momentum this week. @yearnfi introduced yETH, while @Surge_Fi launched on Arbitrum.
NFT marketplace @blur_io faced controversy for its influential role in the decline of PFP collections.
