Today marks four years since my aunt, Shireen Abu Akleh, was killed by an Israeli sniper in Jenin.
An iconic journalist, and one of the most empathetic and sweetest people. This is who they killed. She loved life, but they stole hers from her.
A syrian refugee in Lebanon lost his entire family in an Israeli airstrike including his parents.
I saw my father cut into pieces, I wish it was me, says the child as he breaks down

Watch | Award-winning photographer and Oscar-nominated filmmaker Misan Harriman has sharply criticized the silence of major music and sports celebrities over Palestine and other global injustices, arguing that “fear” is no longer a valid excuse.
Harriman said figures like Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna hold immense power and wealth, stressing that speaking out for Palestine, Congo, or Sudan would not threaten their careers.
He contrasted today’s celebrity culture with past icons such as Nina Simone and Muhammad Ali, who risked everything to take principled stands, and questioned the absence of similar courage among today’s top athletes and entertainers.
Harriman concluded that a cultural shift is underway, driven by younger generations for whom Palestine, Sudan, and Congo are “baked in” values, warning that even the most powerful celebrities will soon be forced to choose, as audiences increasingly demand moral clarity from their idols.
This belongs in every headline today!!

Killing his son, Ibrahim, was a war crime.
Destroying the hospital was a war crime.
Holding him, torturing him, for ten months now, is a war crime.
Staying silent in the face of all this? That too is a war crime.
Alhamdulillah. I am so relieved to see that the people of Gaza will be given some ease. It has been such an unbelievable and absolutely awful two years of genocide. #FreePalestine

“We did not stop the Holocaust. We did not stop the genocide in Rwanda. We did not stop the genocide in Srebrenica. We must stop the genocide in Gaza. There are no excuses anymore. None.” - President of Slovenia Nataša Pirc Musar
That’s a bomb about every 8 minutes, every hour, for 24 straight hours. On a starving civilian population, trapped in a strip of land the size of Philadelphia. After nearly two years of relentless attacks.
The scale of Israel’s violence and atrocities is staggering.
