@RevIsaacWirtz Question on 2.4 "speaking with the mothers in the congregation"
Does that actually work, does anyone actually do that? My instinct says they're going to just look at you like you just asked for $10,000, but I'm willing to be convinced by anecdotes.

"Government has a specific Biblical purpose, being ordained by God to regulate relations among men in a fallen world. The functions which Scripture mandates government to perform are few: preserving order, protecting life and property, and maintaining justice and righteousness."

@EstherOfReilly "the distinction between the Law and the Gospel is a special brilliant light, which serves to the end that God’s Word may be rightly divided, and the Scriptures of the holy prophets and apostles may be properly explained and understood"
But getting rid of "should" ain't that.
@EstherOfReilly Personally, I'm all for telling your kids that Saint Nicholas is a real person. It's important that they understand why denying the deity of Christ is such a big deal and got him angry enough to punch someone.
@EstherOfReilly A short time ago I found a debate between Doug Wilson and Andrew Sullivan about this from way back in 2013. That was fascinating. A mere 8 years ago this was a cultural battlefield and now it's hardly even a talking point.
@EstherOfReilly Are the Anglicans with the baptists on the whole "baptism is just a public confession of faith" thing, or is this a point where you break from the Anglicans? If so, I'm curious why.
