@luvrgrrrl777 My mom did the same and got the $6 raise AND health insurance paid 100% by the employer. My coworker tried the same and was given same response as OP.
My middle school had woodshop and home ec but they were only 5 week courses, then my high school had personal finance but it was an optional elective. No option in either for auto shop and I would’ve killed for that class
“Kids these days don’t know any practical skills.”
Someone from the generation that decided to remove woodshop, auto shop, home economics, and personal finance from public school curriculums in exchange for more practical tests.
@_Pulpsicle@xaviersonline_ Honestly I’m not sure! Where I grew up anyone klan (whether I knew for sure or suspected) was very secretive about it. I’m guessing maybe so it wouldn’t affect them in the neighborhood/professionally/etc? Genuinely don’t know!
@xaviersonline_ I’ve only known 1 person who knowingly had klan parents (friend dads friend back in the 80s) but I know his dad never brought him, tried to keep it a secret from the kid. However I wouldn’t be surprised at all if some people do bring their kids happily
This plus auditory processing delays are why I can read other languages so easy but speaking and understanding are incredibly difficult and I hate hate hate it I can practice and practice and 1 day without it it’s practically like I never learned it
The hardest part of ADHD isn’t starting a habit. It’s doing it perfectly for 10 days, missing one day and your brain immediately acting like you never did any of it.
When I was a server and we had a kid 1.5-2 years old spend the entire meal just taking all the sugar packets on the table, opening them, and pouring them into a pile on the carpet. Horrendous to clean and everyone was just watching the parents allow it
“I’m gonna potentially kill off an entire tribe with my diseases they have no immunity to for the sake of YouTube clout” is just as stupid as the missionary who was willing to potentially wipe them out for Jesus clout and this guy should’ve died too for it
A YouTuber who risked his life to give the North Sentinel Island tribe Diet Coke is facing up to five years in prison
Mykhailo Viktorovych Polyakov broke strict laws prohibiting contact with the Sentinelese people
@DiaryofaSickGrl Pediatric orthopedic doctor told me my scoliosis was “just a cosmetic difference” after I literally cried to him about the pain it was causing me, and after my pcp confirmed it causes my legs to be 2 different lengths so I walk with a small limp. I started sobbing
@halfateaspn I mean I do have anxiety now but as a kid my mom took me and my brother to the dr with the same exact concerns: his diagnosis? Autism. Mine? Anxiety. SAME SIGNS/SYMPTOMS only difference is I’m a girl 🫠
Then we watched enter the void bc my friend always wanted to watch it while high but her other friends would never want to watch it with her and it was a very fun day overall. Damn thinking back I was a good ass friend wtf
So I was 14 and my friend (13) invited me to celebrate 4/20 bc these 2 kids from her class invited her to smoke in the woods but she didn’t want to be alone w them and I was her only other friend willing to try it and literally nothing happened I got no effects I was so bummed
@BadMedicalTakes The post was meant as harm reduction for people with eating disorders, to discourage overexercising and damaging their bodies further. Wasn’t meant towards healthy people. Might be best to take this one down.
