Sorry for the spam of Mental health stuff, I don’t talk openly about myself and using x as a platform to share stories of recovering from things I’ve been through. It makes it easier to compare my past with my present and see all the progress I’ve made not to be like that again.
Hobbies are also hardest to manage, I lose interest so I constantly need something in them to keep me engaged. I set goals, I look for niche things, I look for my own mistakes, take notes to see if I can work on improving. It’s a lot of micromanaging that gets exhausting
For daily vitamins/meds(if needed) I set alarms. I do written reminders on high visibility things like sticky notes app on PC, Food is the hardest to track. Calendar app for appointments. If I feel paralyzed/overwhelmed I start small to ease into larger tasks. Hydration reminders
wait so autistic mental health is heavily reliant on following routines, but ADHD makes you forget your routines… so how in the world do AuDHD people cope????
I hope,
that your unresolved trauma never becomes the reason you mishandle what you prayed for. you are worthy of everything good you attract no matter how your past look, no matter how regretful your path feels, no matter how long it is taking you to find your footing.
Sometimes it feels like the secrets I hold for others is heavier than the weight my own problems hold. Especially when I get asked if something happened, if something is common, and especially if something is true or not.
I work on myself because I understand that I am responsible for where I end up. Not for everything that happened to me, but for every response, every habit, and every decision I made after it. That distinction is everything. Blame is easy. Ownership is what actually changes your life.
Nobody talks about how exhausting it is to constantly regulate your own mind.
Sometimes I can literally feel myself starting to spiral, and I have to consciously interrupt the thoughts, argue with myself, and drag my brain back to reality.
The scary part isn’t the thoughts. It’s how much energy it takes to keep choosing not to listen to them.
I’m lonely, I want this so badly but I haven’t felt deserving. I have friends and I get told nice things but I definitely feel like there are certain expectations I can never meet, fall short of, or told I’m incapable of and that’s why I feel it. My heart is tired.
you deserve people in your life who understand you at your core and hold no misconceptions about your personality or intentions. you deserve people who not only value you but also care about your well-being and won't betray your trust.
@PatsKam This was something outlined to me as the trap of self awareness, recognizing flaws aren’t the same as fixing them so you’ll continually get stuck in those spirals until you learn therapy methods that work to help escape what’s causing them
