Commercial surrogacy is exploitative, cruel & treats women like brood mares.
UK ‘altruistic’ model is no better. Large sums of money changing hands, babies often not seeing their mothers again, women left with regret & birth injuries.
Stop surrogacy now.

@carmykle@ImtiazMadmood@bindelj Difference between lib fems and radical fems. Lib fems generally campaign on things that affect them/all women eg manspreading (which shouldn’t be minimised).
Rad fems increasingly rightly critique Islamism & shine a light on issues that may only affect smaller numbers.
@SlimWiggy@ImtiazMadmood@bindelj Oh no you’re not wrong about that bit.
Women spoke up. The reaction from the political establishment was muted at best.
@SlimWiggy@ImtiazMadmood@bindelj Again untrue. It was Maggie Oliver and other women in social work and the police here who raised the alarm first.
They were ignored for years.
🇪🇸 SPAIN. A young Peruvian woman was allegedly recruited online to become a surrogate for €20,000. She was shipped to Spain.
She agreed to surrogacy through artificial insemination…But artificial insemination was too expensive for the couple.
So, according to prosecutors, they demanded SEX instead.
What followed was allegedly a nightmare of RAPE, SEXUAL EXPLOITATION, VIOLENCE, THREATS and CAPTIVITY.
Prosecutors are now seeking more than 70 YEARS in prison for each accused.
This is surrogacy.

A particularly gnarly porn site that got taken down for hosting videos of women and children being sexually abused while they slept was called "Motherless". That word is not random. The site logo was a silhouette of a mother holding a child's hand with a big red bar through it.
(Funny coincidence: the site was being hosted in the Netherlands)
"What the pro-surrogacy public relations campaigns never mention is this: no one has a right to a child. It doesn’t matter if that person is heterosexual, gay, in a couple, or single."
@RayMegah@RoisinMichaux It’s monstrous, and while it’s a dreadful policy, it’s also shocking he’d be so brazen as to implement something so obviously designed to benefit himself.
🇺🇸 FINALLY. The United States is starting to question the surrogacy industry it allowed to grow like a cancer.
And this case involves TWO FRENCH MEN.
Florida’s Attorney General is challenging the constitutionality of surrogacy contracts.
Because since when can a HUMAN BEING be the subject of a commercial contract?
WELL DONE @AGJamesUthmeier ! This is coming from a surrogate born child 🙏🏻

"We must be prepared to see surrogacy for what it is: the objectification of women's bodies, the deprivation of surrogate mothers' freedom, and the falsification of their consent."

Jimmy Fallon asks Sam Altman if he uses ChatGPT to raise the baby he has with his husband, and his answer is hilarious
Jimmy Fallon: “You, you and your husband just had a baby. Congratulations, yeah. How old? How old is the baby?”
Sam Altman: “Eight month old?”
Jimmy Fallon: “Are you loving him?”
Sam Altman: “So much. I have no non-cliched thing to say, but it is by far so much better than anything anyone tells you. I just so incredibly happy.”
Jimmy Fallon: “And do you use ChatGPT when, when raising your baby?”
Sam Altman: “I do. I mean I feel kind of bad about it because I, we have this like genius level at everything, intelligence sitting there like waiting to unravel the mysteries of humanity.”
“And I'm like, why my kid stop dropping his pizza on the floor and laughing?”
“So I feel like I'm not asking a good enough question.”
“But it is, I don't know. I cannot imagine having gone through like figuring out how to raise a newborn without ChatGPT. Clearly people did it for a long time, no problem.”
The Hastings Center is hosting a discussion on the ETHICS of surrogacy. Oh the irony…
One of the speakers is linked to Growing Generations.
Remember that agency?
The one involved in a $4.05 MILLION settlement after litigation concerning twins, one of whom died and the other suffered serious medical complications.
The same agency whose CEO faced a lawsuit alleging unwanted SEXUAL advances and retaliation against a male employee (and also sent pictures of himself in bondage attire 🤮).
But apparently, we’re discussing ethics.

She nearly DIED giving birth to their baby.
After a massive haemorrhage and emergency C-section, she wasn’t even allowed to say goodbye to the little girl she’d carried for nine months.
That baby ended up in a mansion with 20 other children, all later removed amid horrific abuse allegations.
The couple? They ran their own surrogacy agencies.
How many more women and children have to suffer?
BAN SURROGACY.
