@KinksandG @CurlyCutieJsky @Arielle_Ivy I think bc we are an industry of renegades and solopreneurs living in a time of lockdown and separation on top of anger being forefront for a number of reasons, it’s gonna be hard to be as united as we need to be, but we’re more united than we’ve ever been and that’s progress af.

@KinksandG @CurlyCutieJsky @Arielle_Ivy The lack of safety is huge too, especially in a post FOSTA world. I of course support all sex workers, no matter what, but it would be nice to finally see everyone on the same page as far as destigmatizing and decriminalizing, which would make us all safer.

@KinksandG @CurlyCutieJsky @Arielle_Ivy Yes this is so true. The sugar baby movement baffles me often, but one thing I recently learned is that sugar relationships aren’t criminalized in some states. Crazy that SBs aren’t on the frontlines of decrim with that being the case.

@CurlyCutieJsky @Arielle_Ivy On certain platforms the word cam girl will get people shadow banned, plus not all people who make money on photographic content stream. Like, I have an OF but I don’t cam. Personally I call that part of my work “nude modeling” but understand when people drop the nude.

A lot of this is new, so many years of my career were spent without words for who we are, glad for the opportunity to work it out.

@Arielle_Ivy I think I’m maybe not explaining my thoughts as clearly as they’re happening in my brain but “I’m a sex worker who primarily does nude modeling” or “I’m an in person sex worker” are important differences to recognize when it comes to helping each with thorough advocacy.

@Arielle_Ivy Yes I want them to call themselves sex workers, because of course it’s important, but just like I think it’s important to distinguish if you mean human or chimp when you say primate I think we need to come up with a way to be specific without distancing ourselves from each other.
