From 2017 to today, taking a loan (with a 10% interest rate) would have beaten a straightforward DCA strategy 65.5% of the time!
2 out of 3 times is pretty insane.
What's better, DCA, or taking out a loan to buy Bitcoin in bear markets?
Let's dive into the data.
A thread 🧵
Regulations are finally falling into place. $1.9 trillion in derivatives margin sits in the US markets. The CFTC just told brokers they can accept Bitcoin for that.
It is important to note that BTC takes a volatility haircut as collateral. $100K in BTC won't back $100K in margin. But going from 100% haircut (worth nothing) to a real haircut is the shift. BTC is now recognized in US derivatives clearing.
@xydotdot This is exactly why I got into crypto as well. The idea of separating money and state is beautiful. However, that does not happen without building bridges. First, state money and crypto money need to be tradeable on the same platform. This and ETFs are the Trojan horse sir!
The Bitmor NFT bounty is now live on @earnfirstdollar
If you’ve been saying “I want to earn”
this is where you start, your first dollar, powered by Bitcoin.
When I meet my irl friends, I tell them about openclaw, and they are genuinely surprised AI has progressed so far. The shock to the rest of the world is gonna be insane.
It's embarrassing to be associated with crypto anymore.
The cypherpunk culture and ideals we once held tight have been drowned out by slobbering degenerate memecoin dopamine junkies.
The vision still exists - crypto can be more than a glorified casino - but the reputation has taken on irreparable damage. It's going to take more work than ever for builders to overcome the mountain of suspicion that their product is "just another scam" - not to mention garnering normie attention will require exceptional effort.
I don't blame Peter at all for blocking anybody with a sniff of crypto on their profile. The "trenches" have always been a cancer.
But we build on, with the hope that someday a product - one with meaningful effects - breaks through.
Openclaw founder reveals he almost deleted the entire codebase because of crypto.
"I didn't know that they're not just good at harassment, they are also really good at using scripts and tools. I underestimated those people. Honestly, I was that close to just deleting it."
The person who runs @KellyClaudeAI is spending over $200k/month on that beast of a product to shill out an automated app factory along with an auto marketing machine.
This is not our average crypto project. This is something else.
