I am a married mother of one teenage son. I have a wonderful husband who cares for me. I have ME/CFS Fibromyalgia, POTS, peripheral neuropathy & other things
Until now, there has not been a list of recommended UK Long COVID and ME doctors all in one place... so we decided to make one!
https://t.co/NnYarA6rEq 🇬🇧
We painstakingly collated hundreds of comments from Reddit, Twitter, and group chats with only the most-rated doctors, pricing, and pros and cons from real patients.
25 doctors and clinics are listed, from NHS to private specialists, pharmacies for LDN and ketotifen, and even a link-out to @ChronicLiving1 for therapy options!
This is a living document and will be continually updated. Suggestions and updates welcome!
@HarrietSergeant If there is a risk of life then they have to do a full death investigation. If they didn't and it went to court it would be thrown out.
@cfs_jo@nonregemesse Most councils say you have to have planning permission because of the impact of the noise on the neighbours. You can request retrospective planning permission
@SarahBarx035@subversivepsych I have parma ham. I have to have protein so coq10 works better. So I have two slices a day for breakfast. Plus I can keep a stash in because they have a long shelf life. Gets my salt up for my pots for the morning
@JamesMelville Next day they come back & finally fix it. Inform them the pipe in-between that and another pipe will go because they just put a smaller pipe inside. Said oh sorry I am only allowed to do fixes. Sections of pipe behind houses has gone 8 times already.
@JamesMelville Next door had a large leak (mains water). Man came to inspect and said yes that needs fixing. 8 hrs later another man oh we'll have to request a mains switch off. Turns up at midnight can I leave the tools here. 2 days later they come to fix it. They don't finish it leave
@useless_priest I have heard a lot of people with ME having their diagnosis changed after a lot of years to FND so it can be classed as a mental health condition again. This is where people have a problem.
@KSchnickelfritz Beautiful. Hubby was complaining this morning. He has really bad hayfever (under control with meds). We went onto the patio and all you could smell was honeysuckle and jasmine. It was gorgeous.
The Heritage study funded by the government states the annual cost to the U.K. economy from #ME and #LongCovid exceeds £12 billion.
That’s £32.8 million a day to the U.K. economy.
Yesterday they pledged £4.75 million for research.
This makes no economic nor humanitarian sense.
