I condemn bigotry as irrational and repugnant.

[Leigh Wambsganss @LeighForTexas]

I’m honored to be endorsed by @gunrights, @GunOwners, and @TXGunRights. I’m fighting every day to defend Texans’ right to keep and bear arms. We banned unconstitutional Red Flag Laws, and next session I’ll push to expand civil liability protections so gun owners can defend themselves without fear of costly frivolous litigation. #txlege

I don’t understand the Biden v Trump health posts. They are both ailing old white guys with impaired speech and diminished cognitive abilities. There is no winner here. 🙄🙄

[Ariana Jasmine @arianajasmine__]

Marjorie Taylor Greene came into Congress in 2021 worth about $700K.

She’ll leave in 2026 worth around $25M.

Congress is literally just a giant insider-trading scheme.

Counterpoint: Both Trump and Mamdani are socialists. One of them is a Republican socialist, and one is a Democratic socialist, but they’re both socialists just the same. No one should be surprised they hit it off yesterday.

@Mollyploofkins The look when you KNOW that you’re going to jail before anyone on the Epstein list 🤣🤣🤣

.@GregCasar, Why didn't you vote?

[Bill Madden @maddenifico]

This is pro-pedophile and pro-child sex trafficking Republican from Louisiana Clay Higgins. Higgins was the lone "no" vote on the release of the Epstein files — and this video gives y'all a hint who this piece of shit is. 😳👇

Do you think we’re going to get the whole truth?

[Libertarian Party of Texas @LPTexas]

This isn’t just a “red flag.” We’ve gone way past that. Troops are now being used on American soil against Americans. We warned this would happen long before January 6th. The Guard was deployed in D.C., and from now on, whoever holds power will use troops to crush protest and silence free speech—and it won’t stop there.

The countries where comedians can't mock the leader on late night TV are not really ones you want to live in.

[Libertarian Party of Texas @LPTexas]

Charlie Kirk would have opposed Donald Trump or Pam Bondi arresting people for hate speech because it runs directly against his long-standing defense of the First Amendment. Kirk consistently argued that free speech protections extend even to offensive or hateful words, warning that once the government can define and punish “hate speech,” it can silence any disfavored opinion. Turning Point USA, his organization, built its identity on resisting cancel culture and government attempts to police thought, making support for such arrests fundamentally inconsistent with his core message.

Even as a Trump ally, Kirk was not uncritical of state overreach. He often cautioned that giving government the power to regulate speech could easily backfire against conservatives and Christians. Arresting people for hate speech would blur the line between opposing bad ideas and criminalizing them, undermining his credibility with his own audience. For Kirk, the principle was clear: government should never be in the business of deciding which words are legal.

From a libertarian standpoint, arresting people for hate speech is an outright violation of individual liberty. Libertarians hold that free expression is a natural right, not something granted by the state, and that government power must be tightly limited to stopping direct harm, not punishing offensive words or unpopular opinions. Criminalizing speech sets a dangerous precedent for state control over thought, erodes personal freedom, and undermines the foundation of a free society. Instead of empowering government to silence people, libertarians argue for countering hateful ideas through open debate, voluntary association, and more speech—not less.

Normally I’d push my own @LPNational donor link (no kickbacks, just cred 😬) but today I’m going to feature @paul_darr ‘s. Paul is the LP’s vice chair and is working tirelessly to promote our platform and bring some integrity and sense of alliance back to the Party.

He’s celebrating his 45th birthday this week with a special goal: bringing 45 new or returning members into the Libertarian Party! 🎉

If you’re not currently a member, it only takes $25 to join and help him hit this milestone.

.@SpeakerJohnson wants to pass a Continuing Resolution (CR) until the holidays.

This CR would be a copy of the uniparty spending bill under Autopen Biden.

I didn’t vote for those spending priorities when Biden was President and I won’t vote for them now.

[SFAustin @SusanFAustin]

@EDSecMcMahon @LibbyWorking Then do it. 🙄sick of all the talk and no action. Trump already had 4 years and did nothing in 1st term.

[Libertarian Party of Texas @LPTexas]

Kash Patel is claiming Epstein never trafficked anyone to anyone. Seriously—what kind of deranged nonsense is that, and who on earth actually believes this guy?

[SFAustin @SusanFAustin]

@TexasJohnFW @billybinion I know of at least 5 places I can go to get something printed near me and I’m in a pretty rural area. The state can not fine an individual or business to infringe or compel speech. Bondi is for the state punishing unless the cake is baked.

[Libertarian Party of Texas @LPTexas]

Speaker Mike Johnson is proposing a continuing resolution (CR) that would lock in the same spending levels set under the Biden administration. While framed as a temporary measure to avoid a government shutdown, it effectively cements Biden’s budgets as the new baseline, eliminating the possibility of reverting to leaner numbers. This means Congress would carry forward higher levels of expenditure without the debates or adjustments typically tied to appropriations.

By doing so, Johnson’s plan erases the spending reductions achieved during the Trump years. Those cuts, which were promoted as victories for fiscal responsibility and smaller government, would no longer guide federal outlays. Instead, agencies would assume Biden’s higher levels as permanent, undermining the very reductions Republicans had once celebrated.

The irony is that conservatives opposing Johnson’s CR on fiscal grounds are being branded as “anti-Trump.” Supporting the CR erases Trump’s cuts but signals loyalty to him personally, while rejecting it defends his fiscal record but risks being painted as disloyal. This paradox underscores how political allegiance often twists principles, leaving fiscal conservatives caught in a bind between Trump’s legacy and his current positioning.

Libertarians would go far beyond the modest reductions made under Trump by targeting the root causes of runaway spending: the endless wars, massive entitlement programs, and corporate subsidies that both parties protect. Instead of trimming around the edges, libertarians would abolish entire federal departments, end foreign military interventions, eliminate corporate welfare, and return most spending authority to the states and individuals. Their vision isn’t just about cutting budgets slightly—it’s about radically shrinking the size and scope of government to restore fiscal sanity and personal liberty.
