(1/3) Somehow it has become a Muhlenberg urban legend that Brown Hall used to be a Civil War hospital. Maybe it’s all the ghost stories?? (stories for another day). Have you ever noticed the “A.P.S.” initials on the tiles In the doorway?
(2/3) In 1915, Muhlenberg College was joined at its Chew St campus by the Allentown Preparatory School. In addition to classrooms and dormitory space, the new Prep School contained a chapel, reception rooms, library, and a gymnasium. It also accepted young women as day students.
