I’ll never forget finding Iris on the chain here in Thailand.
She had no shelter from the sun or heavy rains and she was deathly thin.
I was just sent photos of her from her her owners and it doesn’t even look like the same dog… (1/4) 🧵
One of the loveliest stories ever.
We got a call about a dog in Thailand who was suffering in the heat. He had been kicked out in the streets.
Never did we think it would end like this… (1/6) 🧵
Little Espresso was indeed poisoned. We also now believe she broke a rid when a local tried to save her with CPR.
11 days later we finally have a little smile and some tail wagging. It's the first day I see some big hope for her. So so tough on her
He came in 2 days ago very sick and abandoned. I asked for name suggestions.
In the end not even in doubt... Rod Stewart.
As an added bonus Skye has latched onto him and they are best friends and inseparable ❤️
As I was editing this myself this evening I couldn't wipe the smile off my face.
To see the new life that Maximus has is the stuff of dreams. A big gentle giant of a dog who deserves this so much 🥰
My first job of the day is to check the senior dogs in the retirement village.
Apart from Marilyn Monroe they are not early risers.
There are about 20 different beds in here but they all have their own little favorite spots.
What a day to be alive ❤️
It’s hard to believe he is alive and thriving 2.5 years later considering what the vets took out of his neck.
Given it was right beside a major artery as well it felt like a miracle (4/7)
Anytime I feel a little stressed I go back and see Shaq as he lives about 40 minutes away from me.
I bring him his quarterly medicines and sausages. (5/7)
I know it’s the sausages he is excited for but I like to tell myself he still remembers the life saving operation and our dark times together when it was touch and go (6/7)
There’s one dog who is very special to me. Shaq.
He is probably the most serious and successful case we’ve ever had. This was the first picture I was ever sent of him.
Yesterday I went back to see him. (1/7)
Yesterday we got a call about a very sick dog who'd been abandoned and was living in amongst a trash dump beside a workers' camp.
He's very very sick and very tired but you can just tell he has a wonderful spirit. Slightly longer watch but he’s a special boy to meet ❤️
My only non negotiable is that I start my day feeding the 80 street dogs in Thailand.
I've so many bigger things to do for the charity and scaling up but this is the part I'll never give up.
It's one hour of the day but it keeps my heart full and depression at bay!
