@Concern70732755 Country first- I would expect nothing less with PM Harper . I would add however Harper cares, unlike “ Who cares” Carney.
I might be crazy but Stephen Harper would someway somehow soon get back to discussion in Washington.
BREAKING
Conservatives have obtained evidence that the Chair of Canada Health Infoway lied to the health committee during our investigation into the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal.
Canada Health Infoway is the so-called 'non-profit' organization the Liberals paid $300 MILLION to deliver the failed PrescribeIT program.
Days after we exposed that Infoway CEO, Michael Green, was paid a nearly $900,000 salary, he was fired by the board.
This shielded him from testifying at committee despite a summons.
Instead, Canada Health Infoway Chair, Peter Vaughan, testified at the committee on May 6, 2026.
I asked him whether Infoway would be awarding Michael Green a severance package after the $300 MILLION PrescribeIT scandal was exposed.
Peter Vaughan testified that a decision had not been made as it was "currently in discussion".
We have now obtained bombshell evidence that Peter Vaughan blatantly lied.
More to come.
@Annans4g And Anna, Poilievre says what he means and means what he says. Carney? What the hell was that? Membership, membership sort of, EURO Club Lounge, signed sealed but not delivered, I hear ya knockin’ but ya can’t come in, yadda yadda.
@GinnyRothTO Me too Ginny. Does Nathan Cullen ( Pres and CEO of MEAN GIRLS HIGH) still feel sorry for Poilievre? Losing the NDP election in 2012 still stings I guess.
@WayneMathison Pretty soon Poilievre is going to have to put plans and great ideas in a vault. I know copying is a form of flattery but to the letter to the Europeans? Just stop Carney. Just stop.
Diesel increase -
Transport from Toronto to Vancouver truck consumes about 1,760 L of diesel.
Total Trip Fuel Cost Month Ago: $4,030 vs $4,505 today - Extra Cost $475 for fuel alone
For a truck running just 4 of these cross-country trips/mo, the price spike in the last month adds nearly $1,900 in unbudgeted operating costs.
Interrupting the deluge of posts on the (important) Investment Summit with this - Michael J Fox accepted the Bob Hope Humanitarian Award at the Emmys tonight. Wearing his Order of Canada pin, he advocated for research and a cure for Parkinson’s. He leads by example with grace and good humour. 🍁🍁🍁
@Derricktgoat If I had a bazillion dollars I would fly you and your daughter to the world’s finest cardiac specialist. I wouldn’t leave until we found answers and relief for your daughter.
🚨 This is insane!
The Liberal government wants to decide which news is “reliable” for Canadians.
We’ve seen governments around the world try to control the information their citizens can access — North Korea, China, Turkey, Iran, and others.
Is that really who we want to become?
Canadians should be free to choose what media they read, watch, and trust. And journalists and media organizations must be free to operate without government deciding what is “acceptable” news.
That’s what a free press looks like.
Eby told British Columbians to hire a local accountant and a local engineer.
Then he put a tax on both.
October 1, his government slaps PST on the exact services he named. Accounting and bookkeeping: seven per cent on the whole invoice. Engineering and architecture: seven per cent on thirty per cent of the fee. That is two thousand one hundred dollars on a hundred-thousand-dollar design job. A shop paying eight hundred a month for a bookkeeper pays another fifty-six. A four-thousand-dollar year-end becomes four thousand two hundred and eighty.
That tax does not come off. PST is not GST. Most businesses cannot claim it back. It sticks.
Jeremy from "BC Today" asked him twice at that presser to take it off. Twice he said no. He called it “necessary.” Necessary for whom? For a government staring at a thirteen-point-three-billion-dollar deficit that booked this grab at about one-point-four billion over three years.
A mill already eating a fifty-per-cent American duty still needs a bookkeeper and an engineer. Eby’s advice is hire B.C. His budget is charge them extra for doing it. Alberta does not add this surcharge. Work can walk.
Buy B.C. is a slogan. The tax is cash. You cannot tell people to be their own best customer and then mark up the customer. Rescind it. Or stop pretending the jacket and the slogan are a plan.
