@LorriSapp A5- I would love to learn more ways to assist teachers with authentic learning!! Maybe ICs could pick one teacher to partner with on a project…

@LorriSapp A4- Making sure that teachers feel supported and that they understand the structure well may help them to feel confident in stepping out and using more complicated structures. ICs can offer to assist during a lesson to be a second set of eyes and ears.

@LorriSapp A2- I’ve always found it helpful to write out my questions and then examine them to make sure they are hitting all the levels and addressing the goals of the TEK. Added bonus: you are less likely to forget when you plan ahead. #ICLCsummerextra
@LorriSapp A1- I think we can start the conversations by modeling using thinking prompts in meetings or trainings and then starting a dialogue with teachers about how this strategy could be applied to their classrooms. #ICLCSummerextra
@LorriSapp Taking the time to build relationships and have teachers genuinely feel like they are partners with coaches would, perhaps, open the door to more meaningful collaborative planning. #ICLCSummerExtra
@LorriSapp The first step would be to train teachers on which maps are most effective to guide students’ learning on different skills. Teachers using learning maps to develop lesson structures would be a good first step. #ICLCSummerExtra
@LorriSapp A few that I’ve had succes with would be thinking prompts, cooperative learning, and effective questions. Taking time to think about the lesson and desired outcomes and then formulating questions to make students think deeply is a great way to start.
@LorriSapp Hi! Susan Mathis. Jumping in a little late…
