We can't hammer enough on why Privacy is needed. Not just to escape data infringement problems that are common in today's world, but also to have some breathing space from the legal overbearing of sovereign states.

Like @Zac_Aztec reminded us, with Bitcoin and Ethereum, we were supposed to be enabled to enjoy financial products and services in a more permissionless environment. But we've seen this fail over and over.

Privacy (the lack of it) explains why Bitcoin/crypto haven't broken out of its Web3 bubble to become a global payment infrastructure. With a public ledger that can be accessed by anyone, you can't put your real world identity on a network like that.

In this age and time, We shouldn't worry about identity, data, or contract breaches, hence the reason for privacy.

@aztecnetwork takes on this challenge.

Building on a world computer while extending optional privacy at every level.

Privacy enables onchain identity.

Identity enables ownership.

Ownerships enables sovereign, non- custodial real world assets.

So, problem of identity/ownership is solved.
