I thought that if Israeli soldiers or settlers attacked Christian villages, the Christian world would unite in their millions in condemnation that their sacred sites were being burnt and erased.
Fuck you, @washingtonpost . Amal did not ‘die,’ she was deliberately targeted and murdered after receiving threats from the Israeli army. She was in touch with us, her colleagues, during this situation. We all know exactly what happened. Shame on you for intentionally diminishing the criminality of the actions of the Israeli army with this headline. Shame on all of you and your correspondents in Beirut.
I hope to see you on trial for your propaganda in my lifetime.
The UN says Israeli forces routinely accompany settlers and act as a shield for their violence against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
Israeli officials rejected the report's findings, saying it relied on unsubstantiated allegations.
WARNING: DISTRESSING CONTENT
Israeli authorities are directly involved in settler attacks that have killed, injured and displaced Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, while Israeli security forces provide protection to settlers, a UN inquiry said https://t.co/mtUK0nycep
"It brings me no pleasure to compare what Israel is doing to what the Nazis did, but how can we not? When you have things like ghettos, starvation, concentration camps and planned systematic extermination of people"

Former environment minister Peter Garrett will lead a public inquiry into the Australian Government’s $368 billion AUKUS defence pact, amid growing concerns over the lack of scrutiny surrounding the nation’s most expensive defence project.

Update: Chris Sidoti has again spoken out & called on federal authorities to investigate Australians who have served in the IDF since October 2023 for potential “war crimes” and “genocide.”
“The full force of Australian law should be applied”💥 #auspol
I just heard the @BBC radio say that the Israeli army was attacking Hezbollah targets yesterday & they also platformed someone bloviating about how Iran is ‘occupying’ Lebanon.
As a frontline journalist on the ground for the last 18 months, I would like to reiterate that I have not see any Iranian occupation bases in Lebanon. I have not seen any children killed here by Iranian bombs. I haven’t seen the IRGC massacring entire families on a daily basis. The IRGC has not shot at me or killed dozens of my colleagues in targeted attacks. Iran has not been systematically murdering healthcare workers (over 130) in Lebanon.
Israel has violently invaded and occupied Lebanon. The flag flying over the base in Al Khiam is an Israeli flag, not an Iranian flag. (Photo below)
The Lebanese Ministry of Health yesterday reported that 3,613 civilians have been killed and 11,072 have been wounded in Israeli attacks since March 2nd.
Brilliant piece from Pearls and Irritations. Finally, someone in Australia is saying out loud what the rest of us have been watching for the past five years
Let's be clear about what AUKUS actually is: the greatest military protection racket in modern history. Washington looked at its own crippled submarine industrial base—17 boats short, yards choking, Congress screaming—and found the perfect mark. A wealthy, eager, insecure middle power with a bipartisan fetish for great-power relevance and a defense minister who treats strategic questions like a classified state secret
The deal? Australia pays half a trillion dollars. In return, it gets used Virginia-class hand-me-downs—Block IV boats with a decade of wear already on the hulls, probably smelling faintly of its previous crew
Even more intriguing, the article confirms for what this overpriced second-hand Australian "sovereign" nuclear submarine fleet is actually for:
Hunting Chinese Jin-class and Type 096 SSBNs. Not to protect Sydney Harbour. Not to secure Australia's trade routes. To find, track, and if ordered, destroy the Chinese nuclear submarines that threaten continental America!
That's the job. That's the whole job. Australia just committed A$368 billion to be the US Navy's underwater security guard!
The comedy of "sovereign capability" is almost too rich. Sovereign? The reactors are American. The combat system is American. The weapons are American. The fuel is American. The intelligence feed is American. The maintenance schedule is American. Permanently tethering Australia to U.S. software, maintenance, and logistics, effectively ending any "sovereign" capability. The only thing Australian is the taxpayer—and the Prime Minister standing in front of a camera calling this independence
Australia is not buying a submarine; it is buying a node in a U.S. sensor network. The acquisition deeply integrates Australia into the U.S. military command structure, making Australia a tool for U.S. strategic objectives in the Indo-Pacific — while a massive amount of Australian wealth is transferred into the U.S. military-industrial complex
And the timing is exquisite. Washington just added another half-trillion to its own defense budget while Australia is told to hit 3.5% of GDP. America gets the money, the boats, the basing rights at HMAS Stirling, and a Pacific ASW auxiliary. Australia gets the bill, the dependency, and the warm fuzzy feeling of being taken seriously by the adults.
The U.S. 2025 National Security Strategy (NSS) emphasizes "burden-sharing among allies" and "realist diplomacy." This submarine deal is the perfect execution of that strategy: the U.S. maintains its military overmatch against China by essentially "outsourcing" the financial cost of undersea surveillance to Australia 🤡
Paul Keating called this three years ago. He was mocked, of course. The press club gasped. The security establishment rolled its eyes. But he was right then, and this article proves he's right now. It is worse than he thought. It's not that AUKUS is of little military benefit to Australia. It's that AUKUS is of negative military benefit to Australia—actively diverting resources from actual defense needs toward a capability designed for someone else's homeland

There has never been a war in history where 80% of the country has been destroyed, 100% of the population displaced, and 50% of the deaths children.
Call it what it is: GENOCIDE.
BREAKING - A Swiss Tribunal recognises the legitimate right to peacefully oppose the ongoing genocide in Palestine.
One again: justice for Palestine starts at home. It only takes people caring and applying Intl Law. And persevering.
@strangerous10 so let me get this right...evidence given by Australians who were sexually assaulted & beaten isn't enough!! Seriously I don't know what I$rael has on everyone but it's enough for our leaders to do nothing...again!
"¿Cómo puede un judío venir de Ucrania a Palestina y decir que este país es mío, y que los palestinos no tienen cabida en él? Para justificar esto desarrollan una narrativa, porque quién hace esto es un criminal que le roba la tierra a otro”.
Jeff Halper, un antropólogo judío antisionista, denuncia las narrativas inventadas por los sionistas para justificar su colonialismo y su limpieza étnica.
@_marching_Ents_@yanisvaroufakis@MikeCarlton01 I don’t question the brutality of the Holocaust. I do reject the idea that, 80+ years later, Israel feels justified in continuing to claim victim status and using it to justify replicating the evil of the Nazis. Israel is not the victim. Israel is the perpetrator
🚨 BREAKING: Al Jazeera confirms Israel bombed a Lebanese hospital for the THIRD time. The ICU is completely destroyed.
A mother desperately rushed to find her premature baby alive amidst the rubble. Washington is fully complicit in these war crimes!
