If there is one conversation that you should listen to on Africa and the reform of multilateralism and on #TheSummitOfTheFuture, the exchange with Prof @tmurithi12 should be one of them. Was such a joy recording this for The Pan-Africanist, @africa_amani's podcast.

Sober analysis from @africa_amani on the 20th year of the African Union Peace and Security Council. Indeed, it’s hard to think of a time when the peace and security priorities were as urgent or complex.
Today 25 May marks the 20th year of the remarkable journey of the Peace & Security Council of the @_AfricanUnion towards the realization of pax Africana. As the security situation on the continent goes ‘from the frying pan to the fire’ including in #Sudan where the #PSC invested much of its diplomatic time and efforts since its launch in 2004, this anniversary commentary notes that questions abound on whether the continental body is on a losing streak in recent years in its fight for peace and security.👉 https://t.co/RLIorAYZEo

Can famine in #Sudan be prevented? Yes.
But we need the militaries on all sides to give us humanitarian access.
It's the trajectory of the war and the commanders on the ground who are blocking the access we desperately need.
