Sending out condolences & love to the family & friends of @MargieNellPruit who recently passed away. Margie's viewing is today (Dec 7/23) and Graveside Service will be on Dec 8/23. Margie was a sweet and kind lady, although we never met in person I will miss her. @wiseoldsoul

Good Morning! First time in a very long time that I am smiling after listening to the rain falling on the roof of our RV all night and into this morning..... mud puddles look inviting. Maybe I'll be able to return home soon & the wildfires will be extinguished!

Second time in two months being evacuated this year from Edson AB. I sure hope this is not a monthly occurrence. Fingers crossed we will be able to return home on Wednesday. Fire is 1.5 km away from Edson.

We are having a mural painted on the back of one of our grandstands at the Medicine Lodge Rodeo grounds this year. Madison Sharman is the very talented artist doing the mural that depicts the Anderson family outfitting background..... almost completed.

@dani_R_ Yes we are safe, we have been evacuated from our home town until at least Wednesday this week. Left home at midnight yesterday and saw the flames coming towards our town..... 1.5 km away. Kind of scary.

Due to hot and dry conditions this upcoming week, we are expecting to see more extreme wildfire behaviour. It is extremely important for Albertans to respect the fire bans and off-highway vehicle restrictions in place to help reduce human-caused wildfires.

Last weekends evacuation of my hometown, Edson AB, was something I had never experienced before in my life. I believe there was about 17,000 people on the Highway all heading westward. We had people at the Medicine Lodge Rodeo grounds with horses being held in pens.

Due to the wildfires in our area in Alberta the 42nd Medicine Lodge Rodeo was postponed this Mother's Day weekend. The rescheduled date is June 23-25, 2023. Hope everyone is safe.
