On the day International Day of the Midwife, I want to express my gratitude, admiration, and love to the midwives I work and worked with. They are not only my colleagues, friends, my own midwives, but they became my family when I had no family in the new land I am living in.
@Suselku and I had a chat about our experiences of recently giving birth, raising young families - all whilst doing a PhD programme. #AcademicTwitter#phdlife

Please share widely! Forced birth evacuations are an injustice that must be rectified and Indigenous midwifery is the way. Indigenous lifegivers deserve to give birth safely, surrounded by loved ones.

‘Running between rooms’: Midwife shortage causing trauma and burnout. Midwives are sick of feeling like they are failing women. If we valued women we would value midwives. #ENOUGH https://t.co/JvDmgX6nnN
@hollyklovell@PhDMidwives Mine is starting Junior Kindergarten in September, and my 15 month old will stay at home. I am still finding a meaning to "managing motherhood when working and studying." No estoy bien. Si te sirve, yo me siento igual.
