Just to add to Sir @sjlazars point,
Assuming that the lavatory in question was the one located in the forward of the aircraft near cockpit, just want to mention that the aircraft has other lavatories located at the rear of the aircraft.
These are accessible and could have been used as they are not and restricted for use during flight deck meal service. ✌️

@JustMariner Airsheild India has these kind of fixtures for the a/c. Not exactly the same but similar ones. The fixing needs to be advised to the a/c technician.

Unfortunately consistent implementation remains a challenge across the nation.
Situations like these are being observed across many parts of the country, and it is a call of time for a more balanced and people sensitive planning without affecting the day to day life hustles of ordinary people.
