@EliotWilson2 @duponline @J_Donaldson_MP Only possible in alternate realities. If another Scottish referendum ever happens we’ll no doubt have similar arguments about the border up here as well. The joys.
@IanDunt The difference between cigarettes and most other drugs is that people (such as my mother-in-law) die every year of cancers caused by from passive inhalation of other people’s fumes. I believe my MIL’s right to live should have trumped the right of others to smoke around her.
@lib_thinks@edwardstrngr@RoyalAirForce I’m not really sure what this means, but respect that we all have a different experience of organisations. My own personal experience is more about enabling active management of safeguarding concerns. Hiding them would be (as in this case) incredibly dangerous and unprofessional.
@daniel_barnett Most will allow people in who are up to five mins late I think, but not many beyond that I suspect. Lateness is really disruptive in small venues. E.g. you might have to walk right past the stage area in order to reach a seat, and temporary raised seating is often noisy to climb.
@daniel_barnett@edfringe You won’t, and it’s ok. No true #edfringe fan can ever see all the shows they’d like too - there just aren’t enough hours in the day. Remember to give yourself a little wiggle room for spontaneous decisions as well. It’s all part of the fun. Enjoy!
@DrRJSimpson If you have a compatible phone, you can get a data-only esim for travelling. Not as good as free roaming, but they’re usually cheap and mean that you can still keep your usual number whilst aboard for if needed.
They will also be prevented from properly relying on modern slavery protections and from making meritorious challenges. Oh, and as things stand the list of safe 3rd countries to which they can be sent is an empty one.
