🚨I’m not asking for a comfortable life. I’m asking for the basics that keep my family alive.

People have asked me to explain our needs and their costs, so I want to be honest about what survival in Gaza costs my family:

• Bread: around $25 a day.
• Water: around $10 a day.
• My mother’s cancer treatment: needed every week.
• Food and basic supplies for my family.
• A gas cylinder: around $100 every two weeks.

I can’t afford all of this. I’ve even given up using gas to cook. Instead, I burn scraps of old paper to make a fire and prepare food for my family. This is how I manage, but it doesn’t mean our needs have disappeared.

I’m not asking for luxuries. I need bread, water, food, and my mother’s treatment. If one of my sisters gets sick, that brings another expense we may not be able to cover.

It is painful to keep explaining the cost of staying alive, but I want people to understand exactly what we are facing. I’m asking for help with the essentials because my family cannot live on sacrifices alone.
