Hail to Pitt: If Pitt beats Notre Dame. I will giveaway 10 (!!!) Aaron Donald Pitt jerseys. On his jersey retirement day. All you have to do is 1) follow me. And 2) retweet this post. To spread the word. F Rudy.
@AdamSchefter@espn raised the cost of their app. I paid. But, that isn't enough. @Disney@espn want YouTube TV to pay more too. Ultimately that cost will be passed on to me, the consumer. Where does the greed end?
@KirkHerbstreit No Kirk! Disney/ESPN are greedily taking advantage of sports fans that are beleaguered by continuously ongoing and an increasing number of expensive platforms just to watch sports! It end here. I have had enough. I am instead, UNSUBSCRIBING FROM ESPN!
@ClasslessVol Don't blame @YouTubeTV and subscribe elsewhere. @Disney / @espn will take to same aggressive actions with other platforms as well. Don't feed their greed!
@ESPNPR Your refusal to negotiate a fair price with @YouTubeTV is greedy and intolerable! Having subscribed to @espn for a decade AND being a @YouTubeTV subscriber for 8 years, I am now forced to make a choice. I will be UNSUBSCRIBING from @espn
Enjoy your greed!
You guys nuked this deal so you can poach subscribers to your hilariously underwhelming app.
YOU are what’s bad for the consumer. Your PR campaign isn’t fooling anybody.
Grade-A clowns.
Dear @ESPNPR and @YouTubeTV:
No matter how many statements you issue or emails you send, we aren’t going to side with either one of you.
We don’t care that you think it’s the other person’s fault.
FIX. IT.
Everyone who’s mad at YouTube TV, your anger is misdirected. This is entirely on @Disney and @ESPN. They want you to subscribe to their standalone app, so they’re jacking up the price for other carriers to force you to that. Maybe it’s time for me to watch less TV.
Hey @YouTubeTV
Both of you are to blame. Disney wants more money for its channels, YouTube TV wants to pay less. When negotiations stall, you go public to apply pressure in an attempt to force Disneys hand.
The reality is, when you guys launched in 2017 it cost $35/month.
Over time the price jumped repeatedly: $40, $50 by 2019, $65 in 2020, $73 in 2023, and then $82.90.
That outpaces inflation.
The bottom line is you’ve taken advantage of a customer base time and time again while never really adding any significant value. You sold everyone on the “cheap alternative” pitch, built loyalty, and are now increasing prices significantly non-stop.
You’ve been exceptionally greedy.
Negotiate fairly and start putting your customer base back in the forefront.
Do better.
@YouTubeTV You're hilarious there are millions of people who only subscribe to YouTube TV because of sports coverage like ESPN. This will be my last month.
Rodgers Revenge: How about we have some fun tonight. If Aaron Rodgers throws 3 or more TDs tonight. I’ll give away 3 Rodgers jerseys. If he does that and Steelers win. I’ll give away 5. All you have to do is follow me. And retweet. Here. We. Go.
