@wortwicht @foodwishes The food has way too much variance in quality. Most is actually cooked, but they don’t have a high standard that their cooks are held to, so most of the time they don’t put effort into cooking/prepping well, they just get it hot and serve it.

Now that I've dug in even deeper, the simplest workaround is to make a formula property that just returns id(), then copy the id() output and paste it into your "title" field. For... every. single. database item. @NotionHQ

Question for @NotionHQ

Issue: My whole life is in Notion and it's mostly databases. Inexplicably missing are unique generated IDs for database entries. Everyone (including your team) uses an impractical hacky work-around

Suggestion: A toggle seen when editing a “Title” property

Work-around: Make a complex function property (custom to each database, and always updated) that spits out a value user can copy/paste into "Title".

Updating any value creates a mismatch and we can't use timestamp, because it rounds to the minute, making conflicts likely.
