At SCA, we are incredibly proud of our thriving creative writing community. Every Friday, a dedicated group of students come together to write for pleasure, exploring their imagination through poems, short stories, and descriptive writing.

It is always inspiring to see the creativity, confidence, and talent our students demonstrate through their work. This week, we are delighted to share a beautiful poem by Sobiya, which thoughtfully explores the theme of friendship. Her writing is heartfelt, reflective, and a wonderful example of the talent within our school community.

Here are our newly qualified Tennis Leaders!

A huge well done to some of our Y9 Sports Leaders, who have added another qualification to their achievements today.

These students will be helping to deliver a Y7 Tennis Competition in June for our own SCA team, alongside students from other district schools. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and leadership!

A reminder that Tennis Club takes place every Tuesday from 3–4pm at the new and improved Sutton Lawn Tennis Courts — you may even spot some of our Tennis Leaders there!

A huge thank you to the LCH Charity for visiting and presenting to our Year 7 students ahead of next month’s Colour Dash at Ashfield Rugby Club! 🌈🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️

The students learned all about the incredible work the charity does to support local families, including providing help with school trips, uniform, toiletries, and other essential items to ensure young people have the support they need both in and out of school.

Our Year 7s are excited to take part in what promises to be a fun-filled Colour Dash day, raising awareness and supporting such an important cause along the way!

This morning we were proud to support our year 11 students as they headed into their English exam. To help them start the day calm, confident and ready, we provided a warm and welcoming breakfast - including hot breakfast rolls, fresh croissants and snacks.

Each student also received a special Good Luck pack, kindly prepared by Mrs Durrant; and a lucky clover charm from Miss Brunt - to remind them that we're behind them every step of the way!

At Sutton Community Academy, we know that feeling supported can make all the difference. We're incredibly proud of our students for their hard work and determination! 💪
