On the auspicious occasion of Poila Baishakh, the @BJPMahilaMorcha & BJP Basirhat Organisational District organised a colourful and joyful procession at the Rajbari area in Sandeshkhali.
I participated in the procession and walked alongside thousands of @BJP4Bengal Karyakartas, using the opportunity to exchange greetings with the People on the happy occasion of Bengali New Year.

Miscreants are vandalising Religious Places at Maujampur & Mirzapur under the Beldanga Police Station, in the Murshidabad Police District, since afternoon.

They are even targeting homes of innocent people and carrying out unabated destruction. The power supply has been disconnected to aid the devastation.

I am requesting Chief Secretary Shri B. P. Gopalika (IAS) , DGP @WBPolice Shri Sanjay Mukherjee (IPS), ADG Law and Order; Shri Manoj Kumar Verma (IPS) to intervene immediately and stop the vandalism as quickly as possible.

@ECISVEEP should take cognisance and kindly take appropriate steps to restore normalcy in the area.

How unfortunate that the “Bharat Seva Ashram Sangha” has to approach the Hon'ble Calcutta High Court to organize a Procession in West Bengal.

The “Bharat Seva Ashram Sangha” is a renowned philanthropic & charitable organization relentlessly working for the improvement of the lives of the underprivileged.

They intend to organise “Sri Sri Basanti Puja Sanskriti Sanmelan” and “Pranabananda Mela” from April 14th to April 18th 2024.
They will be talking out a colourful cultural procession through the main road of Aurangabad, Jagtai, Nimtita, etc which would be attended by around 5000 people.
Similar events have been organised by the organisation for the last 20 years. Permissions have always been granted. This time also, the Organisers prayed for necessary permission, but the same was denied by the respondent authorities.

I wholeheartedly thank Hon'ble Calcutta High Court for upholding the right to take out a procession and exercise one's right of expression and right to practice religion.

I would be happy to extend every possible support to Maharaj Swami Pradiptananda; Secretary; Bharat Seva Ashram Sangha, for the success of the event.
