Ref tells Saka to hurry up and take the corner with stoppage time up. Saka does his usual slow-walk to run down the clock. The ref calmly waits, and the absolute second Saka gets into position? He blows for half-time.
Absolute cinema. Masterclass game management for a final.
Arsenal got so used to getting away with murder from Premier League refs that when someone actually enforces the rules, they think they’re being robbed.
Credit where it’s due tho, they played some demonic football to get here. But if PL refs weren't so intimidated by Arteta’s touchline tantrums and fooled by their theatrics, Arsenal wouldn’t be parading a PGMOL trophy today.
Justice served in Europe! 🫶🏼
Can we all spare a moment for the 1000’s of fans of multiple clubs that were begging for their own teams to lose in the hope of sending Spurs down… I hope you’re all ok….
They literally can’t say it’s not corruption.
It’s pure fucking corruption.
Xavi Simons got a red card for a much less.
I’m done with this league, the league is fucked.
The integrity is fucked, no point even watching anymore, it’s just not fair at this point.
The Premier League isn’t even trying to hide the inconsistency anymore. Xavi Simons gets a red for a challenge, Arsenal commit the same foul and somehow escape it. Different badge, different rules. Corruption or incompetence? @FA_PGMOL
It’s funny that De Zerbi has managed spurs for 5 games and had 2 Yellows for over stepping outside the box but Arteta has been doing it for a few seasons and gets nothing.
@FA_PGMOL could you please explain that?
All this outrage at Villa, why?
Crystal Palace rested several players against West Ham a week or so back for the Conference League & the Hammers drew, nobody complained then, why? Because they didn't win?
We go to Villa Park without
- Cuti Romero
- Dominic Solanke
- James Maddison (wasn't playing )
- Dejan Kulusevski
- Xavi Simons
- Wilson Odobert
- Mohammed Kudus
- Guillermo Vicario
- Ben Davies
Most of whom are guaranteed starters for us & Maddison isn't ready to play.
On top, we've been playing like this for most of the season. There's absolutely no corruption, it's a team(Villa) making changes for a few injuries & using their squad.
However, the 7 players that came in for Aston Villa, their appearances this season,
Victor Lindalof - 14 EPL - 23 total
Tyrone Mings - 15 EPL - 18 total
Ian Maatsen - 27 EPL - 40 total
Lamare Bogarde - 26 EPL - 41 total
Jadon Sancho - 22 EPL - 36 total
Ross Barkley - 18 EPL - 20 total
Tammy Abraham - 12 EPL 16 total
134 - Total Combined EPL Appearances this season.
The problem wasn’t the rotation it was how badly Aston Villa played & how they couldn't deal with Tottenham's early & consistent pressure.
It's easy to throw more at Tottenham because of the situation we are in, as are West Ham, Nottingham Forest, Leeds & Palace, but that's not Aston Villa's fault, it's our teams.
Tottenham was the better side for 75-80% of the match, We have won twice in 2026 & that's now back-to-back, let us have something at least.

The Club has taken the decision to make a change in the Men’s Head Coach position and Thomas Frank will leave today.
Thomas was appointed in June 2025, and we have been determined to give him the time and support needed to build for the future together.
However, results and performances have led the Board to conclude that a change at this point in the season is necessary.
Throughout his time at the Club, Thomas has conducted himself with unwavering commitment, giving everything in his efforts to move the Club forward. We would like to thank him for his contribution and wish him every success in the future.
