I was a fit, healthy, vibrant young women before #vaginal#Mesh ruined my body & my life! Unless you have experienced mesh complications you have no idea how much pain it causes! I am sick of this pernicious pain. @BBCNews#SlingTheMesh#ImAMeshVictim @DHgovuk @Royston_Smith
@RidgeandFrost@jessphillips@SophyRidgeSky Strategy to tackle violence against women & girls is much needed. Misogyny & abuse of women & girls is deeply imbeded within the NHS, particularly within gynacology. I therefore urge the government to work on a strategy to illiminate misogyny in womens health care ASAP.
Let’s hope whichever party is elected on July 4 puts financial redress for women harmed by #Mesh and families affected by #Primodos & #Valproate at the heart of their manifesto #generalelection
🆕This June marks nine years of @MeshCampaign, the campaign group set up by @KathSansom after she was harmed by pelvic mesh surgery. In a new blog, Kath reflects on the valuable support the group has offered thousands of people harmed by surgical mesh https://t.co/0fwFYdtPM7
The government is being told to urgently set up a financial package to help patients damaged by epilepsy drug valproate and vaginal mesh.

VICTIMS OF #EPILEPSY DRUG AND #MESH SHOULD GET COMPENSATION, MINISTERS TOLD
#redressnow
The fight isn’t over, government still has to agree to the payments
Secondly, I was able to intervene to raise how necessary urgency is for victims awaiting justice.
Sadly, many victims, such as those harmed by Surgical Mesh, Sodium Valproate and Primodos, tragically pass away before they will ever see compensation or redress.
Too many women continue to suffer the effects of surgical mesh. Today I asked the Government what they are doing to make compensation for these women a reality. #redressnow
It's great that the infected blood victims are receiving compensation, however so should the Primodos victims, the Valproate victims, and the surgical mesh victims. And there should be recognition for us victims of prenatal hormone exposure.

@julian_tisi as parliamentary candidate for Windsor will you support your colleagues @SarahGreenLD Ed Davey @PSCommissioner with Cumberlege First Do No Harm report to campaign for redress for victims of Mesh, Valporate, & Promodos? Happy to discuss.
“It’s time to put the thumb screws on politicians to sort this out” @JasonFarrellSky in todays APPG on financial redress for families affected by Primodos Mesh and Valproate #firstdonoharm
Families of patients who have died as a result of Mesh or Valproate WILL be included in the financial redress scheme - @PSCommissioner to todays APPG on #firstdonoharm
“NHS is fundamentally misogynistic. I’m concerned that after the blood scandal any other work on compensation will be smoked out - NOTHING has happened for financial redress for mesh injured women.” @AlecShelbrooke in todays APPG on #firstdonoharm
“It’s depressing to hear the parallels between the infected blood inquiry and the Primodos, Mesh and Valproate scandals’” @DianaJohnsonMP in todays All Party Parliamentary meeting on #firstdonoharm
Powerful speech by @JasonFarrellSky in todays APPG on how Primodos families have been failed by successive governments - the next government MUST put financial redress for Primodos, mesh and valproate at the heart of its manifesto
@MeshCampaign My heart goes out to all the victims and families of the the infected blood scandal. What happened to the principle of First Do No Harm? Proof that NHS & the government cannot be trusted! So many comparisons to the pelvic mesh scandal.
Mesh injured patients continue to have their trust betrayed. Let’s hope we do not have to wait decades for justice via financial redress / compensation.
