There’s something about the ocean at sunrise that quiets everything.
The noise fades. The tension softens. And for a brief moment, before the world rushes back in, you can feel something deeper… something true. God’s promise of a new day fulfilled.
It’s in those moments that many of us realize how far we’ve drifted from ourselves. Not because we’re broken, but because life, trauma, service, loss, and responsibility have layered over who we really are.
At Sacred Warrior Fellowship, we don’t believe anyone needs to be fixed.
We believe what God revealed to Matthew “Whiz" Buckley in his darkest moment…
God does not make imperfect things.
What we do is create space for that truth to be remembered.
We bring together veterans and seekers in small, intentional groups and guide them through a sacred process of reconnection. Through stillness, presence, and ceremony, people begin to peel back the weight they’ve been carrying for years… sometimes decades.
Not to become someone new, but to return to who they’ve always been.
We’ve seen men who believed they were lost remember their worth. We’ve seen women who carried silent pain finally feel peace. We’ve watched people reconnect not just with themselves, but with God… not as something distant, but as something within them.
This isn’t about escape.
It’s about coming home.
“Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
- Luke 17:21

I was going through my closet this morning and found my old Nomex flight jacket.
Or as we called it… a Winnebago. The patches acting like bumper stickers of a career.
I’m proud of a lot of the ones on that jacket. The TOPGUN adversary patch. The F/A-18 Hornet 2,000-hour patch (just shy of 3000). But today my eyes went straight to the boat patches.
Every landing aboard the carrier is graded. And just about everyone on the ship can watch you land on what we called “Danger TV”. Talk about pressure.
On cruise with USS Abraham Lincoln and USS Kitty Hawk, we pulled into Dubai so many times we felt like locals. Every squadron would put on a skit at the airwing party called Foc’sle Follies. Based on today’s Navy, we probably would all been court-martialed.
But the real competition was on the flight deck.
They gave patches to the top aviators with the best landing grades. Twice I made Top Eleven. And once, I earned Top Hook - number one aviator out of about 150 in the entire air wing for landing grades.
I’ll be honest. It was terrifying.
I was on a streak. When I launched for missions over Iraq, I wasn’t worried about the mission. I was thinking about the recovery. About not screwing up the landing. That’s how much pressure we put on ourselves to perform, especially against our peers.
It felt like I was lighting a Lucky Strike in the cockpit before pushing to land.
But somehow, I flew a perfect line period. All OK’s.
4.0.
For a kid from South Jersey, getting that patch felt pretty damn cool.
Now we’ve got systems like Magic Carpet that make things a lot easier. But the old salts before me probably said the same thing about the Hornet I flew.
That’s the beauty of becoming the old guy.
It was always harder when you did it.
This was the sport of Kings.
God bless the young men and women on the tip of the spear crashing aboard the boat today. Bring them home safe.
Fly Navy.

The world changed last week.
I haven’t felt like this since the pandemic.
This isn’t hype. This isn’t fear porn. This isn’t some guy on an exit ramp with a cardboard sign saying “the end is near!”
The end is here… for outdated assumptions.
It’s OVER with.
AI crossed a line last week. What was theoretical is now operational. Jobs, margins, entire business models are being destroyed and repriced in real time. When systems change, markets reprice.
We’re in extreme volatility because capital is trying to figure out what the future just became.
If you’re not prepared for what’s coming, you’re going to get hurt. Your job. Your finances. Your trajectory.
You better start saving AND learning how to trade before it’s too late.
In today’s Accelerated Retirement Live Trade Brief on the TOPGUN Options YouTube channel (or click link in comments 👇) I break down:
• Why the world just shifted
• What we’re doing about it
• A short-term bearish “Tredge” on the S&P 500 in case we get another leg down
This is about positioning. Not panicking.
Go to the TOPGUN Options YouTube channel and get up to speed.

This morning, Sacred Warrior Fellowship received a beautiful message from a veteran Navy SEAL that made our hearts smile.
He shared his journey of healing. The hard kind. The kind that takes courage. Years of facing the most difficult parts of himself, traveling outside the country, doing the work that most people avoid. And at the end of that road, he found himself in the presence of Jesus. Not because he set out to find religion, but because he was willing to go all the way inward ✝️
That message captures the heart of what Sacred Warrior Fellowship exists to do.
We are not a wellness brand. We are not a yoga retreat. We are not interested in soft language or spiritual bypassing. Some of those tools may appear along the way, but they are not the mission.
This is deep spiritual lifting.
Most of the men and women who come to us don’t believe they are holy. They believe they are broken. Lost. Disconnected. Some have never believed in God at all. Others believe they lost Him a long time ago.
Our work is to help them remember the truth they forgot:
God does not make imperfect things.
We don’t heal anyone. We don’t save anyone. We help create the space where people can reconnect to God, or encounter Him for the first time, and remember who they truly are beneath the trauma, the armor, and the pain.
This isn’t about ‘feeling good’. It’s about coming home.
If this resonates, it’s not by accident.
You’re not lost. You’re not broken. You’re being called home.

On September 11, 2001, I Had Two Jobs. By Noon, I Had One.
That morning, I was supposed to fly my first trip as an American Airlines pilot. Dallas to Miami. Miami to Cancun.
Instead, I watched the second plane hit the South Tower, ripped off my new uniform, threw on my worn green Navy flight suit, and drove 120 mph to my F/A-18 Hornet fighter squadron onboard Naval Air Station Fort Worth.
My squadronmate Gruff and I couldn’t reach our CO. We had two jets, 20mm gun ammo, and no missiles. We decided to execute anyway.
“If not me, who? If not now, when?”
A one-star general gave us an order I’ll never forget: “Tell your pilots - if they’re not ready to shoot down an airliner today, they don’t climb in the jet.”
Here’s what that morning taught me about leadership in any crisis - whether you’re in a cockpit or a boardroom:
→ Don’t wait for permission when lives (or livelihoods) are at stake. → A common planning language between teams is critical. Two different military branches coordinated a combat air patrol in minutes because we shared the same methodology. → The minute professionalism gives way to panic, you’re lost. Stay calm. Plan. Brief. Execute.
Three days later, American Airlines called: “Flight Officer Buckley, we need you to fly tomorrow.”
It was my first flight. And my last. One trip. The airline industry collapsed. I lost my career, my healthcare, and my retirement in a single week. But I kept perspective. People at Ground Zero lost everything. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Get. Up.
That’s when I learned the lesson I now teach executives around the world: Regroup and Retarget. The same discipline that kept me alive in over Iraq and the skies of TOPGUN is the same discipline that took me from zero to the C-suite of a multi-billion Wall Street firm.
If your organization needs a wake-up call on decisive leadership, crisis execution, or building resilience into your culture - let’s talk.

Psychedelics + reflection helped Omani shift from wealth accumulation to emotional balance and purpose.
Not what most billionaires talk about.
It'll be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
This is the way.

Great time with the American Principles Project at their screening of “Fathers Wanted” at Mar-a-Lago.
It’s truly shocking to see the cost of what we’re losing.
A collapsing birth rate. Men stepping away from fatherhood. Families being treated as optional instead of foundational. Pets over children.
God didn’t make this complicated - “Go forth and multiply.”
The greatest gift He gave us was to create life itself, and the responsibility to love, protect, and raise the next generation.
Strong families create strong men. Strong men create strong nations.
Without fathers, without faith, without children to replace us, our legacy fades and our nation with it.
Family matters. Fatherhood matters. Faith matters.
I pray our country returns to God and these principles before it’s too late 🙏🇺🇸

God has never been distant.
We are the ones who wandered.
From February 20–22, Sacred Warrior Fellowship gathers for a Sacred Retreat rooted in prayer, sacrament, repentance, and restoration.
This is our church. This is our holy ground. This is a returning.
We come as we are. We lay down what we were never meant to carry. We listen. We remember.
The Kingdom of God is not somewhere else.
It is within you.
If your soul is tired, your faith has been wounded, you have served, endured, or suffered in silence, this space was prepared for you.
Return Home 🙏

@abbieklandiss @BrennonChapman Exactly and left quietly without threatening to take staff and players. He could have said everyone stay and win this and head out. But he instead had a fit when he didn’t get his way.
