@loulourob @MywellbeingC @BDCFT_YourVoice@BDCFT@mind I have recently joined the mentoring scheme as a mentor and I feel really proud of that! Are you finding it successful?
@loulourob @MywellbeingC @BDCFT_YourVoice@BDCFT@mind love the #wellnessactionplan as a @mywellbeingc employee, it figures largely in my regular 1:1 meetings with my manager and help her manage me sympathetically as I have a long term health condition and it helps me remember what my limitations are and support available
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC #worrytime is a technique where we ask the patient to set aside specific time to worry so that instead of worrying all day, they focus on their worries at a specific time and hopefully coming back to them at this time helps to dismiss them or process them more helpfully
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC The worry tree is a great learning tool as it helps us identify what is within our sphere and control and what isn’t. So what are hypothetical worries we can’t do anything about and what are current problems. Here is an image of the #worrytree
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC The definition of intervention is “action taken to improve a medical condition”. A #CBT intervention is providing information and skills to the patient about a specific area such as worry.
@ellawalker444 @MywellbeingC I offer low intensity CBT 1:1 over 6 sessions over 12 weeks which gives the patient the skills to be their own therapist. Courses have the same objective and we hour 6, 90 minute sessions over 6 weeks.
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC The courses are based on CBT, we look at the relationship between, thoughts, emotions, physical feelings of anxiety and depression and behaviours, over 6 weeks and introduce techniques like worry time, sleep hygiene and behavioural activation.....
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC CBT is more instructional than counselling, the therapist collaborates with the patient on their therapeutic journey providing knowledge and techniques to support the client’s therapy goal. Counselling follows a structure however it is more patient led.
@ellawalker444 @MywellbeingC @ellawalker444 thanks for asking! I am a naturally empathic person and I really care about people’s well-being. I started my career in #behaviourchange but around transport. But it was people feelings and mental health I wanted to support after Peer Support work
@amaramazzy @MywellbeingC Hi! Thanks for the question! #prepandemic I did a lot of face to face work with clients which I LOVE, at the moment I deliver courses via video chat and over the phone which is great too.
@MywellbeingC Hi! Thanks for having me back at #MWCExpertHour! I deliver courses to help people manage Anxiety and Depression, using #CBT techniques and I also have 1:1 sessions with clients as I am a newly qualified #psychologicalwellbeingpractitioner
