TVET CDACC, led by CEO Prof. Kisilu M. Kitainge, is conducting a training on Competency-Based Education and Training (CBET) and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) at the University of Eldoret.
The training has brought together education and training experts from the University of Eldoret to strengthen understanding of CBET and RPL as key drivers of quality, inclusivity, and industry-responsive skills development.
As institutions of higher learning increasingly embrace competency-based approaches, there is a growing opportunity to strengthen collaboration between universities, TVET institutions, industry, professional bodies, and regulatory agencies. Such partnerships are essential in ensuring that learning pathways remain flexible, inclusive, and responsive to national development needs.
The University of Eldoret has demonstrated leadership by creating a platform for these important conversations. We commend the university for recognizing the strategic importance of CBET and RPL in shaping the future of education and workforce development in Kenya.
Through these transformative approaches, Kenya continues to build a competent, innovative, and globally competitive workforce while recognizing skills acquired through formal, non-formal, and informal learning pathways.

The truth is it’s a season of silence, not a lifetime of silence. What God has spoken over you has an appointed time to come to pass. Don’t get discouraged. The silence is temporary.
It’s not your battle; the battle is the Lord’s. He’s your defender. He’s your vindicator, your healer, your provider, your way maker. The blessing on your life will override the curse.
