‘Sleep and circadian rhythms are key to all aspects of health’
Beyond data: Maths, AI and wearables for sleep disorders - Welcome to A/P Jae Kyong Kim @umichkim from @kaistpr for his #CPCTalk

Understanding dark matter is key to our understanding of the universe as a whole. @Sydney_Uni is proud to support to this international collaboration, with Dr Theresa Fruth playing such an important role #LeadershipForGood https://t.co/GjQVY7Up4s
Fighting jet lag with science: A new, evidence-based lighting design on Qantas's A350 aircraft could reduce passengers' jetlag by aligning their body clocks ⏱️ to their destination's time zone while still flying
Research translation & impact, this unique design is the result of a partnership between @sydney_uni's @CPC_usyd, @Qantas + Caon Design Office

It’s Sleep Week! Today we look at Melatonin, the ‘hormone of darkness,’ naturally produced in the pineal gland at the base of the brain. But as we age, what happens to our sleep patterns when melatonin production declines? Discover the answers here: https://t.co/uOHpSIEvrY
We are looking for a new colleague @sydney_physics in complex systems. Potential research areas include brain dynamics, deep learning, biophysics. position is "continuing level B/C" which is roughly equivalent to a US tenure-track position. Please share. https://t.co/4H0AL36bAd
It was great talking to @AlainaGLevine for this @APSphysics feature article on unusual careers in Physics. Physicists do so many interesting things with so many important applications. Some more unusual careers from APS: https://t.co/gTHHh7tlPG
Meet neurophysicist @Sveta_Postnova, whose work at @Sydney_Uni studying jet lag could make 20-hour flights more bearable. Buckle up and sit back with #APSnews: https://t.co/sZ9VtaFKEl. @AlainaGLevine
New paper 🚨
Biomathematical models can provide tailored shift work interventions, but can we implement them?
In this study, we examined whether nurses can adhere to personalised sleep recommendations provided using two models (the Phillips-Robinson Model and the Model of Arousal Dynamics). We also note some practical considerations for future use and delivery of personalised recommendations for shift workers.

Super stoked to share this! @tracey_sletten@Sveta_Postnova , @circadianumbers , @smwrajaratnam, Stuart Knock, Mark Howard.
Findings inform our current work (more on that later).
New *continuing* faculty position in the physics of complex systems at @sydney_physics@Sydney_Science. It's a great environment with great colleagues (including me!) and a very competitive salary and benefits.
Please share! 🤓😀

Loved writing about @Sveta_Postnova , a neurophysicist at the @Sydney_Uni for @APSphysics . She uses her expertise to improve the experience of 19+ hour flights for @Qantas , reducing jet lag and creating a healthier experience.
Curious on how you can craft Your Unicorn Career?
We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the #ChronoPhysics team and work on the modelling of sleep and brain clearance across the lifespan. Please share with those who may be interested.
