This is hands down the worst gaming article I’ve EVER read. They should just delete it. IGN reaches the conclusion that Resident Evil 5 cannot be remade because it’s racist.
They go so far as to say, that perhaps it should have a black protagonist but then it would be too divorced from the original Resident Evil 5.

IGN… who was SHEVA ALOMAR then huh? The playable black protagonist. Oh she didn’t exist? I must’ve made her up during my 100 plus hours of RE5

1. Most importantly, There was a whole black character playable from the start to finish of the game. Right there alongside Chris the entire time.

2. IGN gave the original Resident Evil 5 a WHOLE 9.3… but the game is racist though according to them.

3. You literally mention Resident 4 and 6 which depict Spanish and Asian zombies respectively as games took place in areas where afformentioned people would live. The other Resident Evil featured Caucasian zombies because they take place where they live. You give no mention of race in these examples.
Am I then to believe you think the black community does not possess enough emotional maturity to handle the fictional story of African zombies because the game takes place in…. Africa?

4. If Matt writing this even remotely played this game recently they’d pay attention and realize that not all of the zombies in RE5 are black. I know this and I haven’t touched the game in years.

The only thing I can agree with is a RE5 be more horror and less action even though I played the heck outta part 5. Co-op was super fun to me.

Other than that, did y’all think you made a slam dunk with this fine piece of game journalism? Really stood up for the black community with this one. Thank you for shielding us from the most diabolical offense toward my race since before civil rights. “BLM” 😂😂😂🤦🏾‍♂️
