While it would obviously suck and be very bad, i'm curious if Playstation Wins and gets the Discless future without resistance. Will they then end up as monopoly, who only has Digital "yes" players who always ends up accepting everything after a little while? 🤔
This list appears limited to AAA titles and overlooks high-selling AA and indie Physical games entirely. It also only reflects US physical sales data.
Not to mention that it completely ignores physical sales from every other country, treating US figures as a standalone metric to push a narrative about a digital future while disregarding the full global picture.
Again how convenient that an article like this is appearing when we are about to hit the 3 weeks mark since the announcement.
We fucking know it’s @Sony@PlayStation trying to get people to give up.
We won’t shut up.
Your attempts at controlling the narrative are pathetic!
They have all shown their true colors this generation🚀
✅PlayStation: wants to end physical media, and player ownership, 2nd hand market and create a monopoly, all that after wasting a whole generation on live service slop and cross gens, and shutting down studios.
✅Nintendo: creating slop with graphics from 3 generations ago for $80 on some games and thinks government tariff refunds are theirs while they’re happy to rob players.
✅Xbox: barely any games for a whole generation, decisions made on the fly without any real plan, creating a low end console that detailed this generation and glazing game pass which cost many studios their livelihood since they cultivated the mentality of not buying games.
All of that, and they’re all projecting their failure onto players, blaming them for their own shortcomings as if we owe them something.
Enough is enough!
We decide what’s worth our money.
No other industry is as entitled as the creative side of the gaming industry.
Just because it’s entertainment doesn’t mean we should accept the lowest standards, no respect, and an ever-shrinking value.
Speak loud
Fight for the value your see fit
You got the money, you got the power
NO DISC 💿 NO BUY
Another coordinated PR release from Sony. It's not a coincidence that they failed to mention how many total physical releases there has been this year, or how many of those had 100k copies printed.
@KENaRosenberg@IGN When they have shown that they absolutely may just do that. Makes you sound just as bad as Playstation who wants to comptely control the market, but believe what you want, but if no-one says no then bad things always happens.
@KENaRosenberg@IGN But believe what you want to believe, but when you say that hundrede apon hundrede thousand people are just a minority and making them sound like they don't matter when they want to make sure we still can own games we buy and not just pray that Sony won't take them away someday.
