@NWSOmaha Thanks for update. . .but. . .what about Call-to-action for spotters (like me!). . .such as . . .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT. . .Spotters will not be needed tonight or tomorrow. . .but could be needed Wednesday evening over far southeastern Nebraska.
@NWSOmaha Good evening WFO/OAX. Gotta question for you: SPCSWOMCD #733 was updated at 10:53pm CDT by "Mead." Is that by any chance "Corey" who used to work at your office as a LeadMet?
@NWSOmaha just finished attending the Virtual Storm Spotter session with Brian. As a Retired Meteorologist. . .I always enjoy the review -- it keeps me in shape! Brian conducted an Excellent presentation. . .as did Brian Smith back-in-the-day when he used to do these as well!
@NWSOmaha I am 71 year old Retired Meteorologist originally from TOP KS. Thru out my life on this planet. . . I have NEVER experienced an entire month of January with NO snow on the ground what-so-ever! I am thankful I lived long enough to see this day!
@NWSOmaha In all my years in Meteorology (since the mid 1970s!) I've never seen this occur. . .at this time of year and certainly NOT in a cAks airmass. But to me this sure looks like a "Heat Burst" occurred! Temps shot up just before 8pm CST and the RH dropped to <50% !
@NWSOmaha Yike-O. . .just got back home from going to see the movie "TWISTERS" (2024). I Don't chase! I track Tornadoes. My area of Bellevue had some really "close calls" this past Spring!

@ReedTimmerUSA 17 years. . .the same amount of time that Magicicada septendecim spends underground before coming out of the soil. . .in the Chicago area!
@NWSOmaha IYKYK -- Hey I recognize that item circled in purple! It's a Launch Reel! I used those in USAF Rawinsonde in the late 1970s at 6th Weather Squadron at Tinker AFB in Midwest City, OK
