Two-thirds of TVNZ staff earn over $100,000. Ten days after that came out, the union is getting ready to strike for more pay. Strike away. Nobody will notice the news is missing.
This is @chrishipkins making a real effort.
The reality is incomes are irrelevant to the left, they just want everyone working for the state, and they will get what the state decides.
Just Announced: NZFirst to Remove Climate Tax From Fuel
New Zealand First will abolish the ETS tax from fuel which means immediately fuel will be 12 to 14 cents a litre cheaper.
Over the past year fuel consumers have paid 12 cents a litre of petrol, and 14 cents a litre of diesel under the ETS, adding to the excessive cost of our imported fuel.
A total of $850 million has been taken away in the past year from consumers and businesses and allocated for the purchasing of Carbon Credits as part of the ETS linked to the Paris Agreement.
New Zealand First will remove this burden on consumers and businesses over the next term of government.
There is no substitute for diesel for industry. Likewise, ordinary consumers have suffered too much with the cost of petrol.
People need to understand that when you propagate woke green ideology, it costs New Zealanders while delivering us nothing.
If a Green/Labour government is elected they will put even more ETS costs on New Zealanders as they did in 2021 when they pushed ETS charges up to 20 cents a litre, taking $1 billion out of the pockets of NZ consumers.
The Greens’ fiscal plan is missing $176 billion. Yes, billion. 💸
The Taxpayers’ Union has identified 17 spending promises missing from the Greens’ fiscal plan, totalling $176.4 billion over four years around $85,122 per household.
That includes $96 billion for extending ACC to cover all injuries, disabilities and illnesses, plus billions for student loan write-offs, benefits and free tertiary education.
So, where’s the money coming from?
A fiscal plan that leaves out $176 billion in announced spending isn’t giving voters the full picture. Kiwis deserve to know the true cost before they vote or whether these promises will actually happen.
Hipkins says the decision to keep funding gangs never reached Cabinet. The records tell a different story.
In July 2023, his Cabinet rejected a proposal from then Justice Minister Kiri Allan to stop awarding government contracts to gangs and people associated with them.
Chris Hipkins was Prime Minister. Now he needs to explain why his Government didn’t act.
Taxpayers’ money should never be used to prop up criminal gangs. Kiwis deserve straight answers, not excuses.
@BarryYoungNZ My Grandfather over 80 died a few days after the jab. Was it Covid or the jab? How many deaths were actually Gene Therapy deaths I wonder?
How bad was covid really?
Looking at Health NZ data the numbers dying who were under 60 barely even register. And the youngest would be essentially zero.
Combine that with most under 18s not being vaccinated can we ask Chris Hipkins why important health advice regarding myocarditis for these kids was removed from government communications under his watch? There was essentially zero risk from covid yet a significantly elevated risk of myocarditis.

Peters says plenty of others have made inflammatory public comments without police turning up at their homes. So why Tamaki? Is this about the words, or who is saying them?

Eens?
Chris Hipkins wants to be PM again. Trouble is, he can't remember much.
I counted seven "can't recall" moments in just over a year: the Royal Commission, a Cabinet paper in his own name, the leaders' debate, and now gang funding. Not an "encyclopaedic memory", he says.
Meanwhile his candidate was filmed with the Mongrel Mob and has now quit.
Anyone who can't recall that much isn't fit to be Prime Minister.

The Taxpayers’ Union notes at least 17 announcements from within the last four months which are missing from the Greens' fiscal plan, despite the Greens describing themselves as “the party of real economic responsibility.
These 17 policies total $176.374 billion, or $85,122 per household.
With voting opening Monday, Taxpayers’ Union Head of Policy James Ross asks when we can expect the other half of the fiscal plan.
“Were the Greens telling the truth when they made each of these 17 missing spending promises between July 2026 and now? Or are they telling the truth now by not including them in the fiscal plan? It has to be one or the other.”
“Why bother releasing a fiscal plan at all if the majority of your spending plans aren’t going to be included? A small fiscal gap is one thing, but $176 billion isn’t small. That $85,122-per-household is about the same size as total crown government spending last year.”
“Giving the benefit of the doubt, maybe it’s that the left hand doesn’t know what the other, further-left hand is doing at Green Party HQ. But it doesn’t take a Parliamentary Budget Officer to show that this fiscal plan isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.”
The Greens want to spend a quarter of a trillion dollars. But who’s paying for it? 💸
This week’s Bribe-O-Meter puts the Greens’ spending promises at $253.88 billion or $122,528 per-household.
If that isn;t shocking enough 90 cents of every dollar is unfunded.
How on earth do they plan to pay for that?
Labour promised the world and delivered a rounding error.
100,000 KiwiBuild homes → 2,335.
A billion trees → 38 million funded.
Light rail → zero kilometres.
David Farrar has the full scorecard. Before anyone believes the next round of promises, judge the delivery.

Sweet dreams, New Zealand. 😈
There's still time to avoid waking up to this horror show after election night...

Barbara Edmonds told voters Labour’s capital gains tax allows for inflation, reminding them she’s a tax lawyer while she did it...
Four days after that, Chris Hipkins said the opposite on Q+A, and Labour’s own policy document backs him.
Kiwi's deserve to know which version of Labour’s flagship tax they’d actually be getting before they get to the ballot box 🗳️
Chris Hipkins once again claims “cabinet amnesia” right before his own exact words defending the non-cancellation of gang programme funding are repeated back to him…..then says he needs to go check the quote for context.
Come on.
Your wallet balance only tells part of the story.
What about your staked tokens, rewards, liquidity positions, and tokens still locked or vesting?
That’s why tools like Shido Portfolio matter. Bringing those pieces into one view makes it easier to understand where your assets are and how you’re participating in the ecosystem.
The feature that stands out to me: enter a public address to explore—no wallet connection required.
For $SHIDO, making the ecosystem easier to navigate is a practical step toward making it easier to use. 🔎
