Thank you, with all my heart, to everyone who showed up for refugees last night.
This is London ❤️
We are diverse but never divided. This cruel bill will never pass in our name.
We will stand together with the most vulnerable against the powers pushing an agenda of hate 💪🔥
Revealed: child refugees will be detained or deported under small boats plan. We @refugeecouncil worked hard to get this set out in today’s @ObserverUK and @thetimes (S Times) https://t.co/u8AK08ohcd
🥁🥁🥁Decent people must stand up against plans for mass detention and rejection of refugees!
On Monday MPs will debate the new horrific Bill in parliament - tell them #StopTheBill
For #GaryGate, for all good people's right to raise their voice, for safety, for #RefugeesWelcome
More great work by @DLPublicLaw (specifically
@bayneshannah1) and story from @Dianewriter
- thank you for fighting the good fights🥰

On Thursday 24th we will gather to remember the people who died trying to reach the lives we take for granted in the UK.
At 6pm we will stand on either side of the Channel, at Sunny Sands beach in Folkestone, and across the water Dunkirk, to say: Not one more death at our border
🚨 BREAKING 🚨
We are taking the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, to the High Court, where we plan to challenge her illegal treatment of people at the Manston facility.
You can donate to support our legal challenge, here.

🚨EXCL: For over six months, I've been speaking to asylum decision-makers, including some recruited from McDonald's and Tesco. They say they're left alone to conduct complex asylum interviews within two days, then make "life and death" decisions. (Thread)

I wrote this article about “ dangerous politics” few days before the attack on the asylum camp.
It’s not like I am proud of predicting that this way of doing politics will cost misery because it’s too obvious for us all including Suella herself. https://t.co/MGfjuupgo0
No plan to deal with collapse in Home Office asylum decisions (to just 14,000 a year - half the level of 6 yrs ago) that has created backlog, delays & costs. 96% of small boat cases from 2021 haven’t been decided. Recent laws added bureaucracy & extra delays/4
Media around ‘migrant crisis’ is off the scale. So a reminder - we’re talking about around 75K people - the same capacity as Old Trafford. Numbers of small boat crossings have grown as other routes have closed. There is no migrant crisis. There’s a safe routes crisis.
