One reason women will always remain behind men is that we waste so much time believing witchcraft is the solution to our problems. In the process, we lose resources, emotional energy and, most importantly, valuable time that could have been invested in personal growth and financial independence.
Chaiii, women! We need to wake up.
I have avoided directly commenting on what is happening in Tooro. Instead, tried to share the EMIGYENZO- TRADITIONS/CUSTOMS that were followed in the INTRACSTRAINE KINGDOMS- which were themselves, passed on from BATEMBUZI/Bachwezi customs and practices:
In my previous posts,I decided not to mention some of the practices, especially those that happen when a reigning king died leaving his mother behind. But it is vital to say, the BATEMBUZI/CHWEZI culture placed strict practices around the NYAMASHORE/NYINA OMUKAMA...(Queen mother..)who survived her Son-King. This is because, the QUEEN MOTHER was always like A CORE-MONRCH during the reign of HER SON.
This was the case with NYINAMWIRU DURING reign of NDAHURA; KIBOOGA during the reign of her son, NTARE V, NYAKAHIMA during the reign of MULINDWA and later, OMUCHWEZI WAMARA, etc.
These QUEEN MOTHERS usually had unfettered access to ROYAL REGALIA,and other kingdom secrets. They were/ are the CUSTODIANS of the King's PERSONAL EMANDWA-EMANDWA Y'ENDUGU,and EKISINGO KY'ORWERU; etc. They sat on their own ROYAL THRONE (stool)- Ekyeeko Kya Nyamasore..)and held many other royal items, etc.
Therefore, where they survived their SON-KINGS, upon the death of the KING, specific cultural practices were carried out, some before burial, and others IMMEDIATELY AFTER BURIAL:
Eg, Clan Elders stripped the Nyamasore of her de facto CO-MONARCH role by:
-VACATING THE THRONE(royal stool) IMMEDIATELY AFTER OMUKAMA OKUTAASYA...(death).
-SHE WOULD NEVER SEE THE ROYAL FIRE(Ekyoto)AGAIN,
-SHE WOULD BE MOVED OUT OF THE MAIN PALACE COMPOUND, AND WOULDN'T RETURN THERE, EVER;
-IN SPECIAL CEREMONY, SHE WOULD RELINQUISH THE ROLE OF CUSTODIAN OF THE KING'S own EMANDWA Y'ENDUGU and return EKISINGO KY'ORWERU(fertility and health of the king). Didn't ask to WHO, exactly they were returned, but I assumed it was to the Royal Court elder.
She, would however, be given her ROYAL COURT(Ekikaari)and her HERD (cattle known as a ENYWEISA Z'EBISO). And all other Court NECESSITIES.
The young generations must be taught what constitutes OKUCURIRA ENKOMA(a departed King), not the rubbish i saw, of them spending all the time abusing each other on SOCIAL MEDIA. The behaviour of Tooro Princes and Princess and their supporters on SOCIAL MEDIA has been DISGRACEFUL, and like an elder, can say, it POTENDS NO GOOD.....
Learn to hold anger...... THERE IS ALWAYS TIME FOR THESE BATTLES; your small battles of pen& insults. REAL MEN USED TO USE SPEARS AND HOT IRON; but even these, knew WHEN! THEY WAITED TO BURY THEIR KING, then BLEED; not the KWALA-KWALA DOG FIGHTS I see here....! But even then, there must be RESPECT AND COMMON SENSE. ENDA(greed) and IGNORANCE ARE the biggest problems of today! ENDA, erikaata.....!
I hope they just SHUT-UP TODAY AS THE KING DEPARTS ON HIS FINAL JOURNEY.
Rest Well King OYO!
Here is the video saying that king Oyo left children . But he couldn’t marry from the palace he was first building a home so that he officially introduces the queen to the public.
Unfortunately , death robbed him so fast 💨
I AM DIZZY FROM THE WHISPERS
1. My empty head is full of whispers.
I'm dizzy from the whispers in Tooro.
"Either Omukama had or did not have a child."
"Omusuuga said Omukama Oyo had no child."
"They said Omukama left a child, a son, an heir."
"Beitu, who said Omukama left an heir?"
"People are saying Omukama left a prince as heir."
"Omusuuga said he does not know anything about Omukama's son."
"The Queen Mother said Omukama left a prince."
"Did you hear the Queen Mother saying Omukama left a child?"
"No, Museveni said the Queen Mother said Omukama left an heir."
"Did you hear the Queen Mother telling Museveni that Omukama left an heir?"
"No, but Museveni said that the Queen Mother told him that Omukama left an heir whom he announced to us."
"Omusuuga said Omukama left no son."
"But, Omuhikirwa said Omukama left a son."
"Did you hear Omuhikirwa saying Omukama left an heir?"
"Omuhikirwa announced that Omukama left an heir."
"Omusuuga said he knows nothing about the son of Oyo, but he also heard from Omuhikirwa announcing in Kampala that Omukama left a son - a child; Omuhikirwa was breaking news to the public; which news was not his to break."
"Boojo, did Omukama leave a son or not?"
"Omusuuga said that answering that very question about Omukama Oyo's son or heir is the sole responsibility of the royal clan of Babiito which he heads."
"The Babiito are also wondering because the Babiito's committee of 21 members was also asking whether Omukama left a son called Prince Jackson Oyo or Prince Jacob Oyo."
"Mahano, mawe!"
Abatooro ne Abatoorokati, amata gaatikire!
I am really dizzy from the whispers from Tooro.
God’s been carrying us our whole life, keeping us from harm, pushing back the darkness, sustaining us in the tough times. Thank Him for His blessings, thank Him for His favor, thank Him that He carries you.
Introverts talk. And they talk a lot. But first they gotta know you. Trust you. Understand you. Observe you. And vibe with you on totally different level. They're not shy, they just need some time. But once they're ready, trust me, you'll shiver & shock by the shit they know.
Is there anything you’re dreaming about that’s out of your reach, that you can’t accomplish, that’s too big, too much, too hard? It’s time to awaken your faith. Dare to believe bigger, dare to ask, dare to dream.
