@KandoiAyush@ChetanSanghi A system has already been created wherein waste from rural areas will come to Port Blair to be handed over to a recycler/ transporter. Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)Shaheed Dweep (Neil) and Wandoor already following it. More and more rural areas are in the process of doing the same.
Campbell bay, located in the southernmost part of India, has started source segregation and collection.
Only now can India say that the furthest tips of it are also beginning to manage their waste and are making India a truly Swacch and Swasth India!!!
@ChetanSanghi
SUSTAINABLE!!!
Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) has demonstrated that this waste management system is not temporary or flimsy. It simply keeps getting better.
Who would've thought a year ago that waste from all hotels and beaches on this island could be systematically recycled?
https://t.co/0GH9xH5g6E
When good efforts make the seemingly impossible possible.
Swaraj Dweep (Havelock) sends out waste for recycling. It goes to Port Blair and then mainland India.
Kudos to panchayat and Directorate of Rural Development for this fantastic initiative!
