@TannerJDMuwu @silkyfriction My favourite way is to wade in slowly, each step sinking deeper. The moment I sink over my muck boots is my favorite.

I like how everyone into this (admittedly, it's very niche isn't it) has their own preferences. I like being in boots and fully clothed. Some like naked. Or PVC.

@TannerJDMuwu @silkyfriction This is fascinating. Thanks for the detailed description. Makes me wonder how I'd fare in such a bog: I go sinking with a pair of long walking poles (literally thin tree branches) which are naturally buoyant and help spread weight. I'd LOVE to find out.

@TannerJDMuwu The odd time I've seen someone, I have attempted to style it out. Sometimes uttering "oh, I'm fine, thanks, don't mind me".

Maybe I feel a bit vulnerable, all muddy. I think I'd feel much more courageous if I had a sinking partner.

It's some personal development to work on!
